This was my dream car when I was in high school. I was so jealous when my buddy's dad bought one for him, but at least he let me drive it every once in a while. This thing is loud and torquey...I would've loved to have owned one.

This car will be a legend , a 1.8 L reving to 8500 now that's balance and engineer . I had one and I can say this I love when the vtec engage and the motor sounds like a streetbike .

Used to own a 98 Championship White Typer #0063! Great cars! raw, factory built race cars, things that manuf"s just dont offer anymore. I did two Porsche Club drivers ed's at Mid-Ohio with my R, and man, what a wonderful little track car. I never should have sold her! She was my baby!! Thanks for bringing back memiories for me as well.

the "2nd" bar you showed is not a bar but the cover for the abs wiring. the seats are alcantara, with tweed inserts the car is very clean i saw it on ebay back in january and its immaculate type r differances are *b18c5 engine 10.6 compression*alcantara interior*no side mouldings*spoiler*5 lug suspension/wheels*shorter geared transmission*no sunroof*carbon faux interior*amber lighting*red emblems*pan hard bar*strut bar*front lip*larger muffler/cat/intake

if i'm not mistaken the integra type r ran a b18c5 motor in the states. the b16a is the civic type r motor

I love this car. The biggest flaw that I could point out on this car are the rusty brake calipers on the front, but I could easily exchange those for some red Brembo ones. Beautiful car, even with the yellow paint.

yes would love to see the integra return to the acura line up, they really need a sport car. We just put a cold air intake on mine, and I just had it totaly repainted to its silver color, but still my friends Type R looks just like that one perfect. hehe

@Miike92 V's usually have higher torque with lower RPM's, and Inlines have higher HP at higher RPM's... but even that can vary due to crank/rod/piston configurations. It just comes down to the desired area an engine can take up. Like a V6 is thicker but shorter than a IL6... and a IL6 is slimmer but longer than a V6.

you're right I have never driven a type R. you have driven one, so it is probably fun like you said. lightweight is definitely fun. that's why I chose an s2k for daily drive. it's fun, reliable, and good looking. but when it comes down to pure performance in the 15k range, there are more cars to choose from that make more sense. e46 m3, c5 z06, s2k, sti, just to name a few. but hey, you're entitled to your opinion man

@Miike92 Inlines are usually just based on manufacture's choice or available space. The only thing nobody has ever heard of, at least in a car, is a V-4. A IL4 is technically half of a 180 degree crank V8. Just like a Inline 5 is Half of a V10, and a Inline 6 is half of a V12.

I agree ITR is different in all ways. I thought the same too before i really looked into, the ITR body has thicker bar reinforced frame work, the whole car was design for rigidity and body roll.

I learned on a Honda clutch. It was difficult, but it's the only manual car I've ever driven. From what I've heard their clutches are really soft and typically grab at the top of the pedal stroke.

@Pvtbravo It's not unusally for there to be a very slight color difference between the paint on the sheet metal and the paint on platic bumper covers....even when new Despite the paints being the "same color" they are made of slightly different compounds to properly adhere to their intended surfaces. Given this cars age, the color difference to more than acceptable.

It all depends on how you drive it. If you're popping VTEC all day, it will burn oil and you won't get good gas mileage, but under normal driving you can easily get 25 mpg. That's was the beauty of Honda's VTEC, under a certain rpm (4500 i think) the ITR only pulled like 130 hp, but once it hit VTEC it pulled 197.

idk if I would say typical visibility if anyone has ever had or driven a del sol, very poor blind spot with the pillar but anyways I love the type r so much I miss my old type r swap civic I wanted to cry the day that motor blew but I must say that motor boosted is a hell of a blast so fast

the dc5, known as the "rsx" in america is acura's integra. there is indeed a type-R model as well, id say it's a little watered down though.

I'm pretty sure the integra type r only came in white and championship yellow in the u.s. And it's just about the same as an integra gsr except for the rpm redline and it's a little lighter some minor tweaks to the suspension also ...
