Acura NSX Aftermarket Exhaust Headers Series - Less Weight, More Power, and Sounds Amazing

This is the introduction video to our Acura NSX aftermarket/upgrade exhaust header series.
I just picked up a set of CT Engineering aka #Comptech headers for my 1991 #Acura #NSX. Thanks to Charles with #nsxrackrepair.com ‪@revlimited4833‬ for hooking me up with a good deal. I plan to get them painted with this special heat paint called "Cerakote Ceramic Coatings" and then once I find the adapters and hardware, I will install them.

I just finished this with some Pride headers and man did it wake the car up. It went from feeling peppy, but not quite quick, to feeling like a legit sports car. And paired with the Endura Lite exhaust, it now sounds like one, too. The install is no joke, though. Get everything out of the way: A/C compressor and bracket, drop the front beam of the rear sub-frame....

I've had these headers on my NA2 97 for 23 years and 50,000 miles. They are great. I bought them through Greenwich Acura in Connecticut . Naturally the installation was super easy because the headers came with everything and I just watched. The important thing to know is they have been trouble-free, and I've just had the car on the dyno it had been back in 2006 and it pulled 320 at the flywheel. Let me add I had Greenwich install comtech headers earlier. Looking forward to your future videos on this soon.

Really looking forward to the powder coating of the headers. I have heard aftermarket headers really shorten the life of CV boots on these cars. I have aftermarket headers with at least 1 torn boot on my NA2 I have to address before spring.

I am sorry to hear that. It is something I did not consider but I can see how the heat would take a toll on the rubber parts. I also want to see if I can make some sort of heat shield. Still in the white board phase.

These cars are known to go through CV boots regardless but the aftermarket headers create a lot of heat that reduces their life even more according to Prime. I hope you can come up with a solution and thanks for sharing.

Not so much in the case, easy 15-30hp with the mod. But with a tune, I am sure you can get more.
