just getting those screws removed is SO MUCH HARDER than it has any right to be. i'm beginning to understand why the local car audio place charges $300 minimum for a stereo install because holy hell

Does the battery need to be disconnected first so no fuses get blown
@Iman-mn1wv3 жыл бұрын
I just did mine without the battery disconnected and installed a Sony head unit with wiring harnesses no problem. Probably a good idea to disconnect first tho

Hi Morozov! I have a question. I am new to radio installation and I don't exactly know if this is the right question to ask. #1 - Compatibility. I have a 2004 Acura RSX Premium (Canadian Version). I am looking to replace my radio since it is dead. How do I pick a new radio unit? Is it universal or are there specific models and guidelines I have to follow? I noticed the RSX has a radio metal housing of some kind that you pulled out from the dash? Would I need a different housing or keep the original housing and just buy a new radio? Sorry I am very new in this area and I was just imagining this to be like a plug and play set up.

Hi Steven, in RSX you can install either single-DIN or double-DIN head units. In this video you can see me removing the sindle-DIN radio. Here is the video where I upgraded to the double-DIN head unit - kzbin.info/www/bejne/rp_aqKqLmpl_eac. Single and Double DIN are universal sizes. RSX will fit any single-DIN or double-DIN head units using the existing metal housing.

See if you can get longer socket wrench. This should help if the bolt is too tight.
