Didn't the Ram Classic outsell the newer Ram 1500 right up until the end or nearly so? Sounds like their buyers wanted that lower price point and somewhat smaller size. The Ram Classic was still vaguely acceptably sized. All three current domestic full-size half-ton trucks are comically large now. Seems like they could actually slightly shrink the size of the half-tons and have a sales hit.

This RSX is what the ZDX should be. Since that was basically one of the original coupified SUVs, this should be a ZDX. The current ZDX is not a coupe SUV (and a GM product), and therefore also not a ZDX. Acura definitely has their naming all f'd up. Yes, the Acura version of the Prelude should be the RSX.

Thank you as always, Matt. FWIW, North Scottsdale is absolutely *_buzzing_* with Barrett-Jackson activity right now! No more than ten minutes before I started this video, I witnessed (and heard) a _Pagani Huayra_ drive past my house at a high rate of speed. In fact, I heard it approaching long before I could see it! Not far behind the Pagani was a _Lamborghini Centenario!_ Followed by an _Aston Martin Valkyrie!_ It was soooo LOUD!! FWIW, this is my first time seeing/hearing both the _Pagani Huayra_ and _Lamborghini Centenario_ in-person. It was *AMAZING!* There was also a convoy of Porsche GT cars from all generations earlier this morning. Plus a smattering of other noteworthy cars in between. Not to mention, the plethora of exhaust notes of various kinds. Technically, Barrett-Jackson does not officially start until tomorrow (1/19/25). However, there is _always_ a pre-show party. Sammy Hagar makes sure of that! [wink] Nevertheless, I wish you could be here, Matt. My offer always stands. Hope you feel better - sooner than later. Stay classy my friend.

I believe they are still building 5.7 hemi V8s because it's available in the Dodge Durango. As far as electrical issues, the 2500 Ram still has a hemi V8 so that harness could be modified to run the 5.7.

Rsx was originally meant to be an integra because of Acuras naming scheme back then. Now that the integra is back, the rsx got repurpose. In this case they used it for a cross over. Nowday the names dont mean a thing. It can be a V8, crossover, or a van. Its just a name but still an acura.

Ram lacks a midaize and compact pickup. It's criminal since they could have parts shared with the Gladiator to cut down development costs years ago.

That seems like it would be a big deal for an off-road capable/focused vehicle. However, the Crosstrek currently only carries a temporary spare. Not something you'd want for overlanding. It's typical to see a swing out tire carrier mounted onto the hitch.

The Corolla Hybrid is a $1,500 up-charge, but the 2024 Toyota Camry Hybrid was a $2,400 up-charge, and the Mazda CX-50 Hybrid is $2,400. However, the RAV4 hybrid has a $3,000 premium. I expect the hybrid trim Crosstrek to make an appearance for $2,400 and I expect 36 MPG city and 35 MPG highway.

Look at the price difference between XLE/XLE Hybrid, XLE Premium/XLE Premium Hybrid, Limited/Limited Hybrid, etc. instead.

The hybrid Crosstrek has the potential to be a game changer off-road. When overlanding with the current 2.5L Crosstrek you're looking at like 12 MPG. A Hybrid is going to bring HUGE gains in these high load low speed scenarios. Additionally hybrid and EV 48V battery vehicles have huge gains in efficiency when powering accessories vs a 12V alternator. Not to mention, with the electric motors you increase your overall torque and horsepower leading to increased overlanding capacity. The hybrid technology can also lead to increased towing capacity in the non-wilderness trims. A RAV4 non-hybrid is rated to tow 1,500 Ibs whereas the RAV4 hybrid is rated to tow 1,750 Ibs.

They should have called it the ESX and kept the sporty car. Eventually, EVs will start to be overcrowded in the segment, and they will stop introducing more models. At less than 10% market share, the EV is just a novelty vehicle that isn't convenient for most car drivers.

I think the Cross trek should get close to 40 at least around town. Aero might be an issue on the highway though. Not a car I'd buy but I get why people who don't care about cars would find them appealing. I think I'm the only one, but I think the front end of the Aston looks terrible with the entire front end being grill (did BMW do this?). The Ram would be a good seller, and they desperately need them. Didn't realize that Lexus was even still being made. It was never an appealing car. What has happened to Acura though? I think so many of their cars just look strange. Forget the name, that thing just looks... unfortunate. I don't know what's less appealing... that or that Capri that Ford is inflicting on the Europeans. Overall, this list of cars makes me want a glass of whiskey too!

For the RSX story, it isn't as much of a hallowed name as Integra. They can take the RSX name and slap it into some crossover, but maybe they keep the Integra name for sporty hatchbacks. On the Ram story, it always amazes me how little most folks know about manufacturing. A factory - just the building - can easily take 6 to 12 no to put up. Kitting it out with equipment can easily add another 6 to 12 months. Stuff takes time. The actual machining and assembly is really the easiest and least time consuming part. It's all the paperwork and testing and engineering done before that takes time.
