Went to O'Reilly's. Had them check my computer for misfires. It said 1,3,4 ,5,6 don't work. I reset the computer and it read only #6. I changed it out and everything works fine. I don't claim to be a professional but that's what worked for me.

1st i get fuel cap them the fuel cap light goes away but them check engine light up . Im thinking about spark plugs and valve cover gasket since is time to do it because is leaking .....???

Lot of the all cylinder misfire code’s are not the coil packs, chances of all coil packs going in one shot are very difficult but of course can happen. If the plugs (NGK)were done already and the wire boots look good and you still get a misfire its a valve adjustment that’s needed on these engine every 120,000 miles. Don’t get scared its really an easy job maybe 3-5 hours. The engine numbering is easy, stand in front of your car, cyl number 1 is closest to the passenger side rear bank. Then cyl 2 and 3 continue to the right. So left to right. Cyl. 4,5,6 are closest to you from left to right.

Valve job is a good option but alot people can not afford this type of work and if your not mecanic inclined you probably will fail and coil packs dont last no more than 40k miles so they go bad from wear n tear thanks for your message

@@juniormartinez2586 the problem is if the valves are in fact lose or tight you might end up burning a valve. I think people that come on these mediums come to do their own work on their cars. Its not a hard job if youve worked in cars before. Honda recommends the valve adjustment every roughly every 120K. Ive seen mechanics replace all sic coils because they got a misfire on all cylinders, just to get the engine code right back. It could even be a bad egr sometimes.

@@YoungHeartedSoulthat’s what I think I’m going through I replaced all spark plugs with brand new ones I replaced all coils but for some reason 5 and 6 still misfires (I checked by unplugging all connectors 1 by 1) scan tool said it was 3 and 5 pinpointed down to 5 and 6 connectors not working or something I put seafoam in my gas tank and cleaned my egr valve port like 6 times now still running bad but not as bad.. do you think the valve adjustment is the issue? I’m at 124k miles now 03 Cl Type S it was running great up until a month ago

@@infantbruhh7154 I would do several test so you don’t have to take the valve covers and narrow it down. Very very low chances of you getting two bad coils and putting them at the original misfiring cylinders. Take those two coils and swap them with cylinders that are not misfiring. If it still misfires at the same original’s cylinders. Get a fuel pressure gauge and find the specs for your car and do a fuel pressure test to see if the fuel pressure holds, if not, you might have two leaking fuel injectors at the misfiring cylinders. If those check out, do a compression leak down test just to make sure cylinder is holding air pressure. If that checks out then i would put the engine on the correct stroke and then with a feeler gauge, check the rocker arm to cam clearance. Make sure you follow the procedure as some tests the engine has a different clearance when hot vs cold. Lot of these V6 honda engines sound loud with lifter noise.

@@infantbruhh7154 forgot to mention, with a bright flash light check the connector tabs, ive seen the following issue a ton of times, but makes me wonder since its usually just one connector. Check the female part of the connector plug. the tabs sometimes open up and wont make a connection with the coil. If they’re opened up take a small pick and gently bend in the metal tabs.

I replaced the coil pack on a 09 Acura TSX and the misfiring issue improved. However, the far still has a misfire. I also replaced the spark plugs, used NGK. The new coil is also an NGK. Is a compression test my next step? I hear the fuel injectors can also be bad. Can they be cleaned? Thank you.

If it is still misfiring, you may want to change the main relay, but most likely it's a vacuum leak.

Hey man, My son has a 2005 Acura TL ? He went to drive the other day after driving with no issues, and he is getting p0305. Which is misfire on 5. We tested the coil by swapping it, tested the electrical plug connector to the 5 coil, swapped spark plug(although it was fine), tested compression on all and getting 180 on each one, and used a spark tester connected to spark plug and coil which showed a steady blinking light while running. So there is spark. Yet when we remove the coil 5 when running it doesn’t affect the idle at all. I’m thinking it is most likely the injector on 5. Any other thoughts? Thanks

I had the same issue turned out to be fake counterfeit NGK spark plugs that I bought on eBay. I never thought i would be buying FAKE spark plugs. After 30,000 miles on the plugs all kinds of codes. Plugs looked terrible

Haha you went on ebay and saw the low price and it was in a honda box all the spark plugs on ebay ate counterfeit i bought some and compare it with the real NGK plugs and that shit was fake AF the lettering was off and everything lol
