The 4 bolts around the air filter housing can also be removed with a philips head screwdriver. The bolts should not come all the way off, they will just loosen until they continuously spin. Also, I did not have to remove the 2 clips under the rubber boot. They just simply moved with the housing.

I attempted to remove the air filter cover using this video. The bolts came off pretty effortlessly, accept the two in the front are very long and take a while to unscrew. The trouble came in when I attempted to remove the mounting clips. This video does not give clear instructions on how to do that and mine are stuck. Needless to say I was unable to remove the filter casing because the mounting clips are connected to the top and the bottom of the assembly. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also the 8mm bolt on the backside fell into engine oblivion so I need to know where I can get another. Thanks for the help.

jarell days Sure. You'll often find a clamp holding on the filter. Just use a screwdriver to loosen the clamp and swap out the filter.
