Thanks for the review. I've just briefly tried this filter on trial. I think it sounds much more like the analogue synth filters that I have played with than Arturia, which really doesn't sound right to me. It sounds great, though! I'm not a big fan of the Jupiter/Juno filter. But the LP8 does sound right to me. So I guess it is a case of try before buying, and judge whether you like it. And I may be way off on which one sounds authentic - fortunately, I don't care about that!

Cut the resonace dude! I don't think this filter sounds good with drums initially, but it sounds amazing with other things. The pricing is a bit of a letdown, so this one will go on my wishlist. Thanks for the demonstration!

Too bad they did not also include the Highpass filter. Would make it more useful imho. Ps: is the Reso working in a „counter logical way“ ? meaning, does it increase as you lower the Slider?

The highpass isn't that exciting, all the juice of this filter is in the lowpass. Both controls are working as you'd expect, moving up means more reso or higher frequency.

@@audiotoolshed I dont mean „Mojo“ wise. I just find it useful. Considering it was one of the trademarks on this and the Juno i thought „If you go the distance (of replicating it)…..Then go the distance“ To the Reso,,, i am confused. This means the Reso in the Lp8 in almost the whole duration of the video is at Max? Cause this would mean that the comparisson at 7:20 sould be a lot off since the Lp8 reso is at max and the Arturia at 0? Am genuinely confused. Not smartassing

Good point on ''going all the way''. That 7:20 remark: if you look closely, you'll see that the arturia has the reso all the way up. The filter has , fropm left to right, highpass filter cut, lowpass cut, lowpass reso. On the LP8 its basically always up in that part, and the arturia has its lowcut reso also fully up.

I see that when you were actually switching the Arturia in it was up and when the Lp8 was playing the arturia was not used anymore so the arturia settings were irrelevant after 7:20. I think i need glasses and a bit more sleep :-). Next time i would like also if you do a passage or two with no resonance on the filters

you can always make it by having dry signal and inverted phase low pass in parallel. will give you a high pass filter…
