Isn't the term Acute LymphoCYTIC lukemia conceder wrong ? shouldn't be Acut lymphoblastic lukemia.. ?
@deanyessin66918 жыл бұрын
Hi Noura, pretty sure the CYTIC comes from the late word for cell "cyte" whereas blastic refers to a blast cell or infected/enlarged cancer cell.
@nouraali65028 жыл бұрын
Dean Yessin based on my knowledge of the definition of the words cyte and blast is that a cyte is grown mature cell where blast is an undeveloped cells , so in this case refereeing to the disease as acute lymphoBLAST means the lymphcells are diseased at an undeveloped or early stages , and the chronic lymphoCYTIC leukemia means that cells effected are at a mature stage and that's one of the differences between the two ..

Noura, Thank you for the knowledge sister. Your answer makes a lot more sense.
