A request : if you guys can make a video on documentation part of the job, that would be really really great. May be on a simple paper only you can show important parts of documentation and how one should do it.

Glad to see making this kind of video... I have a query... Suppose I have gone to UK after completing Plab and started working in a hospital... All on a sudden I have diagnosed with cancer, will NHS provide me cost free treatment regarding chemotherapy, radiotherapy and so on just like a Britisher?

In NHS.. Is it mandatory for a junior doctor to do night shift, If one dosent want to and is willing to substitute the same duty during day time n not working during any night.. Is that possible ??
@RoadToUK
@RoadToUK 2 жыл бұрын
You can opt out of night shifts as a non training doctor. Training doctors will need night shifts to progress their training. The only way you'd be exempt if occupational health state you cannot do nights.

Hi I will not say this an acute medical night shift. This is General Internal Medical on cal where you do nights. Pt gets admitted in AMU or sometimes to itu or wards. acute medicine work like doctors in other specialty.
@RoadToUK
@RoadToUK 2 жыл бұрын
Except this is an acute medicine shift as described in the NHS? There is a medical admissions unit where there are doctors who admit patients. There is no such thing as 'general internal medical' on-call as far as we have heard.
@fbz6794
@fbz6794 2 жыл бұрын
Hi. I am an acute medical reg. The med reg shift we do are not Acute medical on call to be clear. This is the same on call done by gastro, geriatrics etc. This is med reg shift which is not acute medical on call shift. People get this misconception that acute medical trainees are always on call which is not true. We do same ward round like it is done by other departments. There is no no physical term like gim on call reg. But thats what we do isnt it? Here people get admitted to acute medical unit. Often to ward straight away. Often to itu. These are not acute medical on call. Same goes for the consultants. There are separate acute medical on call consultants. And separate GIM consultants. Again they are not the same. Though GIM consultants do post takes and admit pts in acute medical unit.

@@fbz6794 Sorry this shift was as a doctor on MAU. An SHO level shift. Not medical registrar. Nowhere in the video did it state the role was as a medical registrar. Dr. Ibrahim worked as an acute medical take doctor, admitting patients to MAU from ED.
@fbz6794
@fbz6794 2 жыл бұрын
Oh okay. Sorry didnt mean to hurt you. Its just people get very scared when they think of acute medicine. They all have many misconceptions when they hear acute medical training. Apology again. Thanks for all the things you guys are doing. Me myself got lots of help from you guys. Keep up the good work. I am from bd too. Good luck.
@RoadToUK
@RoadToUK 2 жыл бұрын
@@fbz6794 Understandable. We have a video covering a medical registrar shift, but this is just a simple core trainee level shift as an internal medical trainee. Hence the explanations in the video.
