AD Pro-8 Carbon Fiber Tripod Review: A must have for Filmmakers?

Good stuff. I'll probably end up with a cheaper tripod when the need for one arises. circa £600 for a tripod with this many cons is not money well spent. I'd rather get some other gear that's gonna transform my workflow, or maybe put that money towards a Sennheiser 416, perhaps new glass. This thing weighs the same as my NEEWER which was only about £150, and with all the cons you mentioned it's not worth it in my humble opinion.

The Ulanzi Video Fast Tripod does the exact same thing but is $2-300 cheaper. I was going back and forth between the two tripods and because a few key differences, I chose the Ulanzi instead. It goes lower, it's only 10lbs(carbon fiber version), has a removable handle to carry the tripod and the fluid head has a wider range of variable resistance options.

Ahh good call, I thought it was 599 just for the tripod and no Head, good to know.. appreciate it….

If you wait for a sale you can grab that tripod and head for $600
