I'm U.S.-born, but have always been grateful that my parents were from central Europe and I grew up listening to all classical music. From being a baby, to now, an old woman, I am SO everlastingly grateful that I know, understand and appreciate almost all classical music. And how wonderful that now I just have to open KZbin and enjoy some of the world's best music!!!! Thank you, KZbin!

I live in Tucson and would like to take you out to lunch.

One must be in touch with themselves to make such an open and honest statement. There are people on this planet that love you. I don't know your personal routines, political views, religion likes or dislikes or anything else we attach to ourselves to for definition. Go outside close your eyes hear the beautiful chaos we call nature "Which I love very much" feel the soil and think of its complexities, that great chemically/ organic life machine that sustains us all. then later that night look for the faintest star you can barely make out so far away and know that in that (miracle) body is that very star. I love it so how can I not love you. Nature binds us all So later when you feel that joy that will be my arm over your shoulder welcome back.... feel ya later. : )

Life is all about helping others or, if you can't help them just don't hurt anyone. Most of us struggle with the latter and many with the former. People who make music do what many of us can't, help hundreds if not thousands of people, just by making music. Music that soothes the soul, makes rainy days sunny, bad times seem not so bad, puts a smile on a gloomy face. Life without music is a mistake.
@QHarefield4 жыл бұрын
Dear friend, we are all unique - every one of us - and NOBODY is useless --- including you. :-) Furthermore, since you care about being bad, clearly you are not. Every one of us is loved and valued --- by God, if you are able to accept that.

The first adagio I really noticed was Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings in the movie "Platoon". Sadly, it was not included in this collection, I guess it has been over played. Although the selection from Schubert's Symphony No. 5 really grabbed my attention here. When watching movies with my kids when they were young (no, I didn't let them watch Platoon!), I would draw their attention to the classical (or maybe more accurately, symphonic) music in the movies. Then when they got to middle school, one started playing viola, the second cello and the third clarinet. They then expanded my exposure to even more music over the years. My oldest is now an orchestra teacher and my youngest is in high school symphony, band, choir and show choir. I've been truly blessed by their love of music.

What a joy it is to listen to such marvelously played best Adagios, composers over the many years have composed. My favorite is Rachmaninoff's Second Movement of his famous Piano Concerto Nr. 2 - It is the Adagio of this incredible piece of music composed by him. I go into another world while listening, know it by heart, since many years, as it is so uniquely melodic, can sing along with the piano part that is heard clearly above the Orchestral sounds. Dentro dela a música, a arte suprema. Viva a música. Obrigado! Glória eterna a todos aqueles que me auxiliam a viver: Beethoven; Bach; Handel; Vivaldi; Mozart; Chopin; Verdi; Richard Strauss, etc, etc.

comments articulated here ,while somewhat exalted ,fall short of approaching the exquisite grandeur expressed by these selections of adagios. These composers have left humanity priceless gifts for eternity.. Pitifully, there are musical slugs in the world that haven't the vaguest idea what they are missing....I am blessed to have a modicum of musical appreciation and discernment. Thank you for this sublime compilation. Dale Bohling

Love this track. It's perfect for getting things done. Thanks for not running a few of the same pieces over and over again. This is great!
