Kevin Mooney's bass really gave this song a raw edge. Neat!

Not seen this before, what an incredible performance. KOTWF was the first album i ever bought back in the day, some songs have aged better than others, but this is one of the gems for sure. Thanks for uploading.

I think I'd struggle to name an Ants song as great as this; perhaps Stand And Deliver; perhaps Jolly Roger; but no, I think this is it.

one of my faves along with Feed Me To The Lions, although i think Marco would have to be facing his amp for that one live :-)

Not sure if I like this faster version, or the slower from PC Revue. Both are FANTASTIC! Thanks for sharing!
@theflammreport96343 жыл бұрын
I think the faster version works well live, but in my opinion the absolute best rendition is the album version. Even Adam air-drums the missing drum tracks from the slow, album version, at around 2:09. There is a lot of silence in the album version.

No dodgy backing track insight.

What do you mean exactly?
@owenwalton11042 жыл бұрын
@@luisramirezclaver8022 I mean, they went from clearly being able to play their songs live, to having to either mime on top of the pops or perform to a live audience using an awful backing track they had pre prepared earlier at the Royal variety show. I know that's how things were done back then, but its a real shame because they could play.

Another great tune, I love that band but Gary Tibbs is missing on bass, what a pity !

way too fast,the pace of the album version is trance-like. Play this back at 0.75 speed is closer to how it should be,but the sound pixelates..unfortunately.
@DaleHodgkins0n5 ай бұрын
What do you mean "pixelates"? That's a term concerning digital imagery, isn't it? What's happening here is a band is playing live... and that often comes with a passion and rawness that due to the adrenaline ends up with a faster, edgier tempo... if you want to listen to the album version (which, I agree with you is hypnotically beautiful - then listen to the album version. If you want to watch a band live [even "live" on KZbin 40 years later] then get with that live groove, energy and excitement. The two things are different beasts... both great, neither one "better".
