Sarde (noun), [Sa-r-de]: A colloquial term used in the Middle East to describe the act of letting go & kicking off a stream of consciousness and a rambling narrative.
The Sarde After Dinner Podcast is a free space based out of the heart of Beirut, Lebanon, where Médéa Azouri & Mouin Jaber discuss a wide range of topics (usually) held behind closed doors in an open and simple way with guests from all walks of life.

I live in Jordan , but I’m originally from Palestine , specifically from Yafa too, and my mother is from Jerusalem. I swear I cried minimum three times during this sarde . Even though I have never stepped a foot in Palestine, nor have my father , I always feel nostalgic to it .. I love that saying that says “ we might not live in Palestine, but Palestine lives in us” because it is so accurate. Praying to see a free a Palestine, go back and live in Yafa if I was lucky enough to witness liberation in my lifetime. I want to thank the three of you for this sarde 🥹. السرده مع آدم بكري و مع علاء ابودياب خلتني أحس إنو إحنا الفلسطينيه حتى لو ما منعرف بعض عن قرب لكننا اخوه بالدم، مثال على ذلك إنوآدم من يافا وعلاء من القدس وأنا من عكا بس خلقت بمخيم شاتيلا في بيروت. شعرت إنو لما كانوا يحكوا أنو أنا عم بحكي، هذا يثبت إنو إحنا الفلسطينيه شعب واحد بنتشرك بنفس الهموم و عنا نفس الإحساس بعيدا عن الأديان وبعيدا عن الطائفيه المقيتة التي موجوده في بعض الدول العربيه. تحيا فلسطين ويوم التحرير قادم لا محاله، كمان مرة، ألف شكرللاخت ميديا وللاخ معين على هالسرده الحلوه.

The narration with Adam Bakri and Alaa Abu Diab made me feel that we the Palestinians, even if we do not know each other closely, we are brothers by blood. An example of this is that Adam is from Yaffa, Alaa is from Jerusalem, and I am from Akka, but I was born in the Shatila camp in Beirut. I felt that when they were talking that I was talking, this proves that we the Palestinians are one people, sharing the same concerns and having the same feeling, far from religions and far from the abhorrent sectarianism that exists in some Arab countries. Long live Palestine, and the day of liberation will inevitably come. Once again, a thousand thanks to Sister Media and Brother Moeen for this beautiful narration.

بعتقد مشكلتنا كلنا انو عم نحلل المشهد فقط النا عقود من السنين مع تحركات فردية بطيئة وخجولة..بس من داخلنا كلنا عارفين الحقيقة وين، ما بتنحل هل قضية الا بنهضة ووعي جماعي يكون في طابع ع.ن.ف لنهزم هل ناس الي عن اصرار بيرفضو المنطق والحقيقة وكتير اشيا، الي اخذ بالقوة لايسترد الا بالقوة..وكلامي يمكن كأنو تنظير وبعرف الحل كيف، اكيد مش عارف الحل ١٠٠٪؜ كيف والقصة مش سهلة بس عم فكر بصوت عالي مش اكتر لان مقهور والله.. لازم نفوز عليهم بالنقاط ويكون عمل تراكمي ما ننسى القضية ابدا..تحياتي من لبنان❤

مشكلتك ومشكلة العرب انها تعيش دائما بالماضي .. 75 سنة والعرب ما زالت بنفس المكان تتغذى على الكره وعلى العنف ان كان في التفكير او في الفعل ..لو ان العرب استثمرت كل هذه القوى في التقدم والتحضر لكانت اليوم لا تقل عن اي دولة اوروبية..

سردة مهمة لكن للاسف صورة ناقصة عن الواقع اللي عم منعيشه.. من التسكيت والاعتقالات بالحرب لفلتان الحكم واعلى نسب جرائم قتل بالعالم. محكاش عالقوانين العنصرية مثلا عدم توسع البلدات او حتى منع قطف الزعتر والعكوب او عن الفقر والبطالة وقلة التمويل.. غير عن الذل والعنصرية اللي منحملها كل يوم .. شكله مغترب اله سنين

thanks for the quality of the exchange but it's always hard to follow some of your podcasts outside of youtube because of the quality of the sound. The sound goes up and down,lots of movments noise and in some ep there was even a phone ringing loudly at some point. I know you guys are not professional and hope this doesnt come accross as a rude comment but an encouragement to make things better.

شاهدت المقابلة من بدايتها حتى النهاية والحقيقة اني كنت "مضغوطة" ومصدرمة من كمية الاكاذيب والهراء الذي سمعته....آدم بكري هو ممثل ناجح وهذا ما ظهر من حديثه فقد مثّل دور المظلوم المقهور الذي عاش حياة المعاناه والاسى رغم اني ادرك جيدا ان هذا ليس صحيحا... لا اريد ان اصوّر ان اسرائيل هي ملاك ولم ترتكب ,في السابق وفي الوقت الحالي, الاخطاء...ولكن الوضع مغاير تماما عما صوره الفنان آدم,انا اعيش في حيفا ولم اشعر يوما بالتفرقة وبالظلم كما صور..نعيش معا عرب ويهود ونحمد الله اننا لسنا تحت حكم عربي..
