He brings this unique mixture to the character, he guides along all the feelings & reasons for Ben Solo to be lost and transformed. He made us fall in love with the dark side because we all understand our own demons and hope for better, happier times in our lives.

Playing with the audience's moral compass by making them route for the bad guy but also having him technically be a Skywalker I think would have been brilliant.

She raises her hand to direct a weak force blast towards Palpatine Palpatine shoots her with force lightening, knocking her down again Palpatine scoffs: "You should have struck me down when you had the chance.. but you're too weak, now you will suffer!" He strikes Rey again, all hope seems lost and then.. we hear Anakin's theme. Stepping forward and materializing is Anakin, Obi-wan, Qui-Gon, Yoda, Luke and Leia, Anakin looks at Rey like a daughter, Rey is stunned/confused/near death: "You're not him Rey, search your feelings - you're not alone, you never were, the force is with you.. always" The rest of the force ghosts: "Always (Last frame on Obi-wan) Anakin back To Palpatine: "Your treachery has come to an end Sidious, it's time to finish what we started!!!" Anakin gives Rey swell of force energy, followed by the other force ghosts and it flows thru her, regenerating her lost strength. as she looks fiercely towards Palpatine and bellows mightily, directing a powerful force blast (the kind we see in the Old Republic) until Palpitine is dissolved into nothing as he shrieks "I AM THE SITHHHH" Ben manages to climb up and sees Rey destroying Palpitine, after he is gone, he then then locks eyes with Anakin, Luke and Leia.. as Anakin smiles upon him. Padme appears beside Anakin and Han Solo beside Leia as they share a moment, Ben's eyes fill with tears as he smiles back. Ben then looks at Rey.. we hear Across the Stars, Rey simply utters: "Ben.." and they finally kiss. And that's how it should have ended

@Lionard Kirsch He does indeed suffer from a lack of exposition. Like in VIII when Luke says "I sensed darkness in him during his training". I would've liked to SEE that. One of the rules of writing: "show don't tell". Also, I would've liked to see his relationship to Luke, Han, and Leia. It would've helped immensely to see him as Ben Solo before becoming Kylo Ren. See his abandonment issues in much more detail. See him getting mind-warped by Snoke. All we have now is word-of-mouth...and its not good enough. That said, Kylo Ren keeps me on my toes. Hes so unstable and caught in the middle of light and dark...that its hard to gauge what decision hes gonna make at any given time. And for that reason alone, I still root for him.

I think one of the best things is, at least for me, in TFA after he kills Han, almost everyone hates him, but throughout TLJ, you can litterally see him physically turning away from Snoke but still mentally attached. And when he “kills” Luke, you almost feel sympathetic for him and you start to see him from Rey’s perspective, as a guy who did terrible things because he was manipulated and you want him to turn with Rey.

Man I feel bad for Adam, he is giving his all and while I wasn’t a fan of Kylo in the FA he quickly turned into the best character in the sequels, though theres not much competition, after TLJ. A dark side user tortured by the light side is a good concept but the writers do nothing with it. All Kylo ever does is lose: he loses to Rey in FA, he gets his ass kicked in TLJ, and I’m sure it’s gonna be worse in ROS. I can’t view Kylo as a good antagonist because all he does is lose and that’s just sad.

All these comments against the death of Kylo but you'll have to see that SW is all about redemption (and more often than not, it ends with dying). Ben like his grandfather, sacrificed himself for someone he loved. That's what the Skywalkers have always been about. While I do agree he didn't have enough screentime, he's the antagonist for most of the film (antagonists don't get screen time), I didnt see Vader every other scene in the OT. Neither did I see Palpatine all the time. The movies follow the protagonist, that's how it's always been. But Kylo had the most character growth, and that's more than most of the characters had. His death was foreshadowed by Leah's. One sacrifice to bring him into the road of redemption, and another for redemption.

I kinda hated these movies in the beginning. I was still young when the first came out, and I have an older brother, dad and uncle who are very passionate about Starwars. And I felt like I HAD to hate them, but now being only a few years older, and knowing people who grew up with the originals who adore the new movies. They remind them of when they were kids watching Starwars for the first time, like me. The original trilogy will ALWAYS hold a special piece of my heart, but I've come to realize it's ok to loves something, even if your family doesn't. These movies brought be back to my childhood, they reminded me of the feelings I got when I saw Leia be a bad***, and inspire me as a little girl. Or how much I rooted for Han and Leia to get together, and Luke to overcome his fears, and reminded me of HOW MUCH I WANT THE FORCE!!!! Now I realize that my brother may not like Rey, but that doesn't mean I have to fake my feelings of hate when In reality I have feelings of love and passion for these movies. Its about a girl and a boy, both lost and confused in their own respects, just like me. I'm not perfect, and that's ok. It's ok to be mad, or sad. And these movies have taught me that. I don't have to live up to the fake standards my family doesn't have for me. Its ok to loves soemthing you were set up to hate, because you are your own person. And isn't that in a way what Starwars teaches us? Ps If you actually read all that you get a big hug from Chewie.

Kylo Ren was the most intriguing character of this this series. I wish they would have had more scenes with him in it. I was always waiting for the next scene with him in it to see what kind of fit he would throw next. They always seem to be too short and cut off. They definitely should have let him live and he and Rey be together. Ben was the last Skywalker . However if he would have lived, he and Rey would have been a force to be reckoned with. I would have liked to see more of how the two can operate as one , since that was a unique ability. They only got to use it twice. Against Snoke and Palpatine. And then one dies and there is no more force diyad. Their attraction to each other was felt throughout all three movies. One of the high points of the trilogy was seeing them finally figure out why. They both had to stop fighting each other and work together, be together. So, I do feel that they should have both lived to tell the story . I wanted to see their relationship develop . Adam Driver was an excellent choice to play Kylo Wren. Wish we could have seen more.
