@@teresadedos8492 I feel like they would fit into the enemies to lovers trope so well And I think they can really help each other with character development like Rahim is very patient when he loves Someone ( which was Eric’s downfall) and Adam can bring fun and stuff make Rahim lighten up
@teresadedos84923 жыл бұрын
@@briadelous7788 OK, interesting take :-) I never thought about it that way. I think Adam is still figuring out a lot of things about himself and needs some space to do so, but Rahim already has a strong sense of self and is very outspoken, which is why I feel he might be too critical or judgemental towards Adam. (Not to hurt him intentionally of course, that's not Rahim.) You do make some valid points though, they could also complement one another, but there should also be some sort of common ground for a romantic relationship.

Unpopular opinion but I don't want them to reconcile. I think Eric has a little problem respecting his partners. I don't think is something unsolvable or fatal flaw just yet. He needs some development, that's all. Maybe they just are right person, wrong time but idk. @@JOTV-el4zl I agree but the way he broke up with Adam made it seem like he thought Adam was shit or not good enough (the way he's always felt his entire life). I also think Adam should have apologized to Eric for all the bullying. There's something very freeing and cathartic about recognizing your mistake and trying to mend them. I think Adam should have never gotten in a relationship with Eric. Rahim seemed like a more decent fit.
@JOTV-el4zl3 жыл бұрын
@@Zippyzappy339 I don't disagree at all with the way he broke up with him. Adam himself said he saw it coming. Eric told him the truth and told him everything that was on his mind then broke it off with him before he could do anyhting like that to Adam again. I definitely agree that Rahim is a better fit. But why do I feel like Adam and Rahim will get together in season 4.

@@JOTV-el4zl I think the whole Adam bullying Eric situation was explained. He had his own demons and often bullys will take that out on other people. Adam has grown and is learning to be better. He had been nothing but a sweet and gentle BF to Eric. Eric kinda came off as the bully in s3. In life we have to give people grace, understanding and forgiveness if they f**k up going forward then they can piss off, but holding people's past against them especially when they are trying to become a better person is pretty shitty.

I just finished rewatching the series, and realized and started to appreciate how much sense Adam's character and personality make considering his parents and upbringing. His father only knew how to express rage, which was all Adam was capable of expressing for a while. His mother (or as he would say 'mum') was passive, and avoided confrontation, but once she decided on divorce, and Michael had left, she was able to explore and express herself, much like Adam at the end of the season. You can see similar parental influence in other characters, such as Jackson and his mom's, Otis and Jean, etc. I just love how they considered this when writing the show. Most shows only make sure family members look similar, but never bother to make sure they reflect influenced/inherited personality or demeanor. But Sex Education instead paints a beautiful picture with.

Leaving aside the gay storyline involving Adam, every boy who experienced a strict father mirrored himselves in Adam. The absent childhood with such parental ignorance, a severe urge to feel belonged but never could express those , rather through anger and frustration is what makes this character lovable. Parents if you are reading this do not punish your children through childhood full of ignorance, your simple tap on back or a smile is what we crave for .....

Everyone has their on pace and at school it was very hard for him at first.
