Yeah its very extremist to have constitutional rights isnt it? For example the freedom to defend oneself, or the freedom to express your opinions without criminal action. Firstly, I don't live in Europe and I, along with most of Europe, happily champion everyone's right to express their opinions. I just don't agree with some of them. But when the only defense people have for the insane accessibility Americans have to guns is that it's their "constitutional right", I shake my head in amazement.

These crazies dont represent any shade of american gun culture, and to tout that is extremely disingenuous. There are two current facets regarding current mass shooting. One being islamic terrorism (which the regressive left refuses to accept as a reality) and a mental health problem mainly seen in young boys, and the poor handling of firearms by their parents. Both which need to be addressed, and neither constitute the taking of fire arms from free citizens. If you want the nanny state fine, but just remember that your laws dont stop criminals from obtaining weapons to do harm, whether its a knife used in the case of lee rigby, a gang shootout in a shitty area of america, or a terrorist act using fully automatic aks like seen in france. Your gun measures fail across the board.

Violence begets violence. Anger begets anger. Hatred begets hatred. The idea that I must have guns to keep myself safe from other people who have guns is ridiculous. If there were no guns, the issue would be non-existent. Instead, it becomes a case of who has the biggest gun, wins. Enjoy the state of perpetual fear you live in and the anger that fuels your very bleak outlook. I won't respond again, I'm not interested in debating the issue over KZbin comments. And like I said in my original comment, arguing about guns with extremist-Americans is a pointless exercise.

+Jason R Nukes, no one's attacking the US any time soon. The general publicity vastly outnumbering the government and police, every single person in America having even a pistol would be way too much for the government to take over never mind assault rifles. As for crooks, not to say there's never been a situation where a crook started shooting and a civilian with a gun took him out, but for a country so well armed it's surprisingly rare.

Sorry to say this, Yes having a gun can be used as protection, but if you think about it if there is more guns and ammunition there is a higher chance of a casualty. You up the number of things that can kill you, you up the number of casualties. Also someone shoots you, you go buy a gun for protection, if someone attacks you with tear gas etc people don't start carrying these things around. Think about it do you really want jumpy trigger happy people (not everybody) thinking someone has a gun and is to eager to shoot them or is so scared and jumpy and shot then because they moved slightly. I am from the UK and yeh I'm not in your country I don't see everything however, from what I do see there does need to be changes Like gun laws: Guns need to be banned and only given to the correct people, yeh you night say you need it for protection but, if the people are not allowed a gun there shouldn't be someone attacking you with a gun, so who you going to shoot then, an man with no gun.
