Adam, It's always a treat hearing you playing banjo and the gourd banjo is dreamy and AWESOME! Matt, I thought you, your wife and team were fab at the recent Halloween dance at my first Augusta at Oct. Old Time Week! I was the "Grasshopper on a Sweet Potato Vine. :o) Great to see you dancing here...so relaxed and such a "natural"!

Thanks,from Australia. I've tried the thrift shops but only rubber soles so far. There are leather soles on Amazon but I can only find bright patent leather dance shoes, or clogging shoes with taps, not quite appropriate.

An old trick is to tape a coin to the sole of your shoe... my clogging teacher did this with a pair of converse and it sounded great... but then she's a great dancer :-)

fantastic! I'm a big fan of flatfooting and would like to learn some. Can you suggest a brand of shoe with leather soles available, say on Amazon? It's proving difficult to find in this country. Thanks.

Thriftstore is always great, but if you strike out, I I would recommend: "Arris Allen" shoes from dancestore com or if you can throw down a bit more money, shoes made by justtap com (these are made for tap, but without the metal taps they make great flatfooting shoes.) Good luck!
