Hey your discussion on the mental/emotional aspect of VO2s intervals was really helpful. I was wondering if it was just me who was finding full-gas VO2 sessions mentally taxing. Thx.

It took me the better part of 6 months to feel OK doing a 5x5 vo2 workout. Not necessarily from a power perspective but mentally overcoming the thought of doing 2 more after the first 3. I think part of the workout is just learning to suffer and playing the metal games😂 I actually sorta enjoy them now in a weird way. I think half the battle is actually learning how to do a workout rather than actually doing it. Just personal experience. Really enjoyed the video. Go Simmons, Powles, Kuss💪💪

Great information here. The weight training part is what I wanted to hear as I just started to cut down to one day per week. Keep up the great work and passing the great nuggets of information!!

Hi guys im at 215watts at 55KG and been in cycling now 18 months......was wondering if i could ever hit 275 to 300 watts ever? years? and at 55kG would 300 watts be good? 120-122 lbs my question is how do ultra skinny guys make so much power? like gaimon and even jonas.......im assuming it will take me years to get to 300FTP is it possible? im doing lot of structured traning and once a week fast group rides with cat 3 racers also

Hi Annu. 3.91 w/kg is a legit FTP so be proud of that! Those ultra skinny guys did a really good job of picking good parents that gave them the genes to make their world class output possible. Remember that it's world class for a reason. Keep doing what you need to do to progress and if you start stagnating, reach out to a professional coach.

Build to 15+ hours a week do 2 hard sessions a week always take it easy on the fourth week.... hire this guy as your coach and you will get there unless you're 60 year old.... good luck.

Hey Annu, great to hear from you. agree with everything said, and being only 18 months in, that's awesome! Even better news, you have so much room to grow! Keep training, and focus on that, not just the #s. Spend more time honing your process and taking down small victories at a time. You got this!

@@adammillssourceendurance5991 im doing 80 percent zone 2 and once a week a hard effort like really fast group ride above threshold or at thershold.....and about 10 hours a week ... so getting to 300 FTP will be over the years will growth as a cyclist right?
