The audio reverberation is very difficult for me to get past. I have tried 3 times to watch it and 10 minutes is all that my ears can handle. Have you thought of turning the volume down? . or speaking slightly quiter. I have read about it. But I am an audible learner as well. Other people may not be as sensitive as I am. I really liked what you had to say. However, something that has plagued me in researching Adam-ondi-Ahman is that there seems to be conflicting statements and I'm hoping you can shed some light on that. Two general ideas exist. One is that most members of the church will be there and the other is that only a select few will be there. President Joseph Fielding Smith stated: "This grand council of Priesthood will be composed, not only of those who are faithful who now dwell on this earth, but also of the prophets and apostles of old, who have had directing authority. Others may also be there, but if so they will be there by appointment, for this is to be an official council called to attend to the most momentous matters ‘ concerning the destiny of this earth. When this gathering is held, the world will not know of it; the members of the Church at large will not know of it, yet it shall be preparatory to the coming in the clouds of glory of our Savior Jesus Christ as the Prophet Joseph Smith has said. The world cannot know of it. The Saints cannot know of it-except those who officially shall be called into this council-for it shall precede the coming of Jesus Christ as a thief in the night, unbeknown to all the world". But then I hear other statements like from Bruce R. McConkie that seem to contradict JFS. Could you shed some light or think about doing an updated video? Thanks!!

Hi Teresa, Thanks for watching and I hope you liked the video. I am not sure what Bruce R. McConkie quote you are referring to. As far as the number of members of the church that will be at the meeting ("most" or a "select few"), I believe that it is up to the individual member whether they are there or not. D&C 27: 14-18, I believe, says which members of the church will be there. The list of qualifications for the invitation, to me, is based upon personal righteousness. I don't believe that there is a limited number of attendees or a max number of attendees. So when prophecies state that "most" members, or "select few" members will be there, I think it is based on the perspective of the one prophesying.

Teresa, I was under the understanding that the church had separated itself from McConkie because some of his writings weren’t on par with the Church Leadership. Even the book, Mormon Doctrine, was asked by Kimball (? Brain is tired, I’ll verify if I am remembering which Prophet it was) to not go through with publishing it.

Chrystina Swain I’ve never heard that before and I'm very doubtful that that is correct. I’d have to look into that. He was an apostle and just bc he may have made some statements that were looked down upon years later, still doesn't mean he wasn't an inspired apostle of God. And if they had truly separated themselves from him, then they probably would have made an official statement and taken off everything from him off of LDS.org. The video above by Stories of the Restoration are the ones who used the Bruce R. McConkie quote.

I lived in Caldwell County for 7 years and often did a deep dive research with other members of the chirch and vidit the sites many times. Two oiut of print books were key back then, The Refiners Fire and a biography of Joseph Fielding Smith that imcluded a visit by church leadership in thr late 60s or esrly 70s to the Missouri sites and what was discussed. Another source were personal histories or diaries that you could get printed in Nauvok.

Audio quality seems to be the 1 area where we are still basically at 1930's technology for the average person. Much of the methodology of audio has changed, but the ability for the average person to acquire, produce or operate it has receded in proportion to any technological progress. Pristine audio mixing in music is as good as ever, but somehow we still suffer from this.

Well, I'm really glad you made mention of the possibility of the gathering at Adam-ondi-Ahman being virtual or electronically possible. The Lord prepared brother Philo Farnsworth for the specific purpose of inventing the Television and, Brother Farnsworth attended BYU which created a certain rivalry between the Y and the U. It was about 40 or so years after Philo attended BYU that one Nolan Bushnell attended the University of Utah and he was determined to compete... he went on to create the first video arcade game, called Pong, and a few years later to form Atari. Sadly, Nolan left the church but his legacy in changing the world cannot be denied. Bushnell at the helm of Atari in the mid seventies employed a young unwashed hippy to help make video games- his name was Steve Jobs. It was the competition between the Y and the U that initially created a climate which would advance the computer. Jobs would later go on to create Next computers which, would be the componentry to build the first internet. So, I was baptized because of a TV special the church aired on Australian TV back in 1978. For me, the role technology has played in the dissemination of the gospel is of paramount importance. I do not mean to create doubt but rather, to suggest that an online meeting is a perfectly legit way for millions upon millions of Saints to be gathered together. The Lord gave these technologies to us for the purpose of bettering us, not for the filth that mankind usually uses it.

I'm not so sure about the meeting at Adam-ondi-Ahman being done virtually. There would not be a way for those who are viewing it virtually to partake of the Sacrament from the hand of the Lord. With the Lord all things are possible. The Lord caused a deep sleep to come upon Adam to remove a rib, in Isaiah, 2 Nephi, Mosiah,... prophesied of the spirit of deep sleep upon the wicked. Perhaps this is how it will be done. We don't know.

Jesus does NOT violate the Golden Rule in any of His doings. In the meeting at Adam-Ondi-Ahman it is taught that Jesus will receive the kingdoms of the earth. This is from Daniel 7. Here’s the problem: Adam cannot give what he does not have. He is not in authority over the USA therefore he cannot give that kingdom to Jesus. He is not the authority over Canada, Mexico, or any other nation, therefore he cannot give such authority to Jesus. To assume that he can give that which he does not have is a violation of the Golden Rule. That’s the clue that there is something amiss in the teaching. One of the teachings that Joseph Smith was unclear on was the coming of Elias. Elias is the heavenly name for Jesus Christ’s mortal servant that is prophesied of in the Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon, and Doctrine and Covenants. He is the forerunner that builds up the Zion Kingdom. HE is the one that will have jurisdiction over the kingdoms of the earth. That will happen by first building up the Zion Kingdom then making alliances with other nations wherein the ZK will offer protection and they will rule righteously and establish the Golden Rule as the minimum moral standard. The other nations will become daughter nations to the Zion Kingdom, thus Elias - who is the first king of the Kingdom - will be king of the kings and queens of the daughter nations. The meeting at Adam-Ondi-Ahman will be when Elias turns over the Kingdom to Jesus Christ. Elias is the “Ancient of Days” spoken of in the Daniel 7 prophecy, not Adam, and it is he that will rightfully have the jurisdiction of the nations on earth; and that rightful jurisdiction will give him the authority to turn the Kingdom over to Jesus Christ IF the citizens of the Kingdom agree to it. That meeting will include all citizens of the Kingdom being invited to cast their vote - yea or nay - to the changing of the king to Jesus Christ. That will be the “thousand thousands” in attendance. The “ten thousand times ten thousand” will be ALL of the righteous in history that have waited to see that moment. What about the church? Read Revelation 12 more closely. The woman (the church) gives birth to the manchild (the Zion Kingdom). After that she flees into the wilderness for 3.5 years. Notice that she is no longer heard of after that. Gotta pay closer attention to the prophecy of 3 Nephi 16:10-11. And gotta pay attention to the Spirit rather than trusting in flesh!

However it happens it will take faith to be there and faith to believe it happened. How much faith would it take to believe that a podcast took place? It will take place in a way that the unfaithful will find it easy to deny it ever happened. God could easily put everyone there in spirit or a vision or a dream. These types of members have these Mormon fairy tale's so ingrained as to almost be instinctively ingrained genetically. How else could you explain how a seamingly rational individual can swallow this absolute hog wash!!! The garden of Eden's location is between the Tigris & Euphrates Rivers in the middle east, where history & anthropology prove civilization began & sprung from. @Scott Wardle Christ will make appearances in addition to the one you are referring to, which appears to occur relatively soon after Tribulation. What this post above is discussing is the same described by Daniel 7:9-14 Other such appearances are descibed in Matthew 24:29-30, Isaiah 63:1, etc.

@HomesliceDrummer personally I understand the doctrine, but I don't think this interpretation is very sound. I find a lot of precepts of men in his interpretation. You see this event coincides with Michael coming down when the, "horn made war with the holy ones and was prevailing over them...until the Ancient One came; " (Daniel 7:21,22) (see also DC 116) Besides righteous people of many faiths will be in and around there.
