Best I ever had was Sallys in New Haven, but I'm so happy he mentioned Mr O1 in Miami (plus more locations) and Pizzeria Bianco in Phoenix (also with multiple locations.) Whenever I'm in either town, I have to hit them up before I fly out. Will check out Carmine's next time I'm in BK.

If anyone wants to try Detroit Pizza, a pizza similar to Chicago, where the cheese is on the bottom, and the sauce is on top, except it's square, due to the deep dish that is used for this pizza, which was originally being used for car parts, and the sauce being in two parallel lines, so you can still see the cheese, and the type of cheese they use is Wisconsin Brick Cheese, you should look no further than the one and only Buddy's Pizza. The one in particular I recommend is the original Buddy's in Detroit, that's where you get the best expirience.

If your taking about grilled pizza in Providence RI, you need to pay homage to Al Forno who starting the grilled pizza phase in the USA and still has the best grilled pizza around. I have been making this pizza at home for over 30 years, and it’s one of my favorite pizzas of all time. Thanks for what you do, Adam! Love your shows.

There's an incredible thin crust (super thin) pizza made in Milwaukee called "Maria's" (51st and Forest Home Ave.). Absolutely sensational thin crust. They've been making it for about 75 yrs now. Unfortunately they don't have dine-in anymore, only carry-out.

They's a place here in Vansant, Virginia called Bizzo Pizzo. You can get a 16" large cheese pie for $3.49. They nearly beg you to buy a $2 Pepsi with it, but I never do. It's not the best pie (they go light on the cheese), but I can live for 3 days on one. That's what old timers call a REAL DEAL.

Adam I think you might have missed one. WiseGuys Chicago Pizza in Horn Lake, MS. Ran out of an old unassuming house, but deep dish to die for. The pies take a good 45 minutes to cook, so it’s best to either plan on chatting for a good while, or calling ahead to order and then seating just before it’s ready. You will not be disappointed.

The truth is the US is not the whole world but they do have really good pizza compared to the rest of the whole world, it's so obvious that they may not be the best pizza country to a ton of people but if you think they have bad pizza you dont know about pizza and the world. A lot of countries have great pizza and Italy is pretty good but there's TONS of bad pizza in both Italy and the US. Legit. There's actually few really good pizza places nowadays in Italy, and there's tons of other countries with incradible pizza outside of the popular ones. There are so many good PIzzerias all over this country and in fact all over this planet.......Give them all a try and Don't go back to the ones that you didn't care for.......I Don't stick to just one type of PIZZA like N.Y. slices, deep dish, Detroit style, California type, e.t.c. I like them all.......Sometimes just plain cheese and other times 2 or 3 or 4 TOPPINGS that I have to use a knife and a fork to eat......In other words, variety is best in all aspects of life.....Enjoy it.......I'll be 86 YEARS old in a few months and I'M not ready to give up just yet....Ha !
