Adam was slopping over with charm and charisma. That was perfect casting by the show creators. The new guy Casey isn't terrible, but he really makes you appreciate how great Adam was. I wish he'd come back and do a food-related travel show with no challenges.

@@mikeburch2998 Bourdain was genuine and brutally honest. My favorite all-time. Adam is great as well! The establishments that Adam visited were more vanilla and middle America at its stereotypical glory. Not really too much quality. Just quantity. Just look at the type of people in those crowds, haha. Bourdain’s shows had more culture, quality, and BETTER food.

I liked watching Adam because it was like watching a buddy take on a food challenge. I didn't care if he won or lost. He was entertaining and just an all around nice guy. I think I would watch this guy drive around to tailgate with guys before a college football game and eat the local delicacies of the college town. He could do a new school every week during football season and then a pro team when college teams are off. I think that would be a fun show to watch.

I used to watch diners, drive in, dives. Some of those places were in towns that I would drive through anyway so I decided to try them. Half of them were out of business by the time I got there. The others weren't as amazing as they made them look on TV. I was never wowed by any of them. Maybe I just didn't hit the right ones.

@@protorhinocerator142 Triple D is a pretty deceptive show and there's a ton of production that goes into it. The restaurants waste a lot of food to get that "just right" shot for the cameras which may or may not pay off for them in way of getting more business. Pretty sure Mashed has done some videos on it as well.

He was fantastic. I never had any expectations of him 'beating' every challenge. Adam was a 'buddy' and it was like we were going around to different cool restaurants to see if we could beat the house challenge. It was a great show.

I really enjoyed Adam on Man Vs. Food..He had a good personality on the show and I always wanted to visit the spots he been too. I remember visiting my brother in Atlanta and remembered Adam visiting this spot known for hot foods…tho I didn’t get a chance to go..Just seeing it made me jump with excitement. So for the time it was on it was a great show despite how our food snobs may have felt. It wasn’t always about just the food but you just wanted to see Adam win. Tho I’m sad to have seen the show end..I often wondered about his health..I’m just glad he decided to step down and do what was best for him in the long term for his health. Either way it was fun while it lasted.

Bourdain and Alton Brown were food purists .... two guys who seem to have taken themselves too seriously. MvF was harmless entertainment that introduced us to new places and new food. Adam received a lot of attention, but was not a trained chef. Bourdain and Brown probably felt he didn't pay his dues.

You do know that Adam is a trained sushi chef and has been working in restaurants since he was 15. While Alton didn't train as a chef until he decided he was going to create cooking shows and even then unlike Adam has never actually worked in a restaurant.

I enjoyed a lot of Anthony Bourdains shows; But he was a major criticiser of something I love which is Pineapple on Pizza.. One of the favourite moments I've seen was when he was served a pineapple pizza that he liked. It broke boundaries of how pretentious food purists can be. It was great.

What made him different from other competitive eaters is that he takes the time to talk about how good the food is. It’s not just about eating those portions. It’s also about enjoying the experience too. His new show is great though, but I’d say limit the airing to late nights because those places he goes to are supposed to be hush hush. Secret Eats makes me want to check out those places in my area, but I just hope that it wouldn’t end up being crowded because of the show.

Adam did a great job on the show and it was actually better in the later episodes when he would coach a local through a challenge rather than doing it himself. He was definitely the better presenter and a great TV personality.

MvF led me to one of my all time favorite BBQ restaurants, rendezvous in Nashville Tennessee. We went out of our way to visit it on vacation one year, and it is something I'll always remember.

Adam Richman was the man on the show but after taking so many eating challenges getting paid every episode changed him allot work outs every day fasting not eating for a couple days or water before a challenge but Richman gained all lot of weight that's why he left man vs food to get health back losing all lot of weight lol ha ha

These shows are completely personality driven and the show never was the same once he left. The regular guy eating food challenges just worked. Alton Brown forgets that these places already have these challenges and it is mainly for college students. That was also his audience.

@7:30 i KNEW that was the case in many challenges. In LA beast challenge he ate some pizza and i just KNEW by the look and behavior of the cooks that they cheated him with the portion of spice for the pizza. I assumed it was so the establishment looked like A strong challenge, they could just be tryna get rid of peppers that no one orders to get their moneys worth, or just pure envy. Like, you see A guy with A camera come in and A little crowd around and they cheat just because they’re there and can. It’s disgusting and I hope people like that get sued. It just shows how inhumane and u professional these establishments can be with just one unmonitored cook. I always liked Adams monitoring of the cooks and now it seems more than just.

I've seen Adam in a few commercials lately. Does anyone know if that's him in the Progressive motorcycle commercial saying denied/approved? Looks like him but I can't really tell.
