@@gsesquire3441 totally untrue. You can cook baseball size meatballs to be moist if you simmer them in sauce long enough. A pork/veal blend cooked in a pot of red sauce for a few hours will come very moist because the outside will cook just as much as the inside.

When he first retired, they tried to spin it claiming that he had done so many challenges, the audience would pretty much know whether or not he could defeat the challenge presented in the episode just by knowing what the challenge was going to be, and so bringing in other people to do the challenge made it more interesting. That turned out to be just a cover story. In reality, and he later admitted, he was starting to have some serious health issues, and that was why he actually stopped.

Yes, I really like that show. It always appeared to me that it was done really nice. No grossing out, not downtallk - just a show about foods in other countries. My most favourite episode is the one in china where Andrew eats a seafood platter. He likes it but didn't find the starfish quite to his liking. As the service girls askes him how he likes the food he states, that the starfish ist not really meant for him. She loves and says "well, it's meant for decoration" ^^° I guess this kind of things happen if you eat dishes from a cuisine you have no clue of ^^
