Id like to see Canik make a new line of pistols along the "tacticool" trend style but that are modular. Interchangeable slides, barrels, frames, accessories etc. Lots of folks really like versatility/interchangeable/somewhat customizable handguns. Make it yours.

I'm at 1:14:23 right now with the all the talk about a 2011 version. My question to all out there, I have a Para Ordinance Tac Four. It's double stack .45 in a traditional 1911 package. But it's double action only. Does this fall into the 2011 category or would it be considered a hybrid?

Dude, I would love to see Canik make a 10mm handgun! There are those of us who EDC 10mm. Just because you all are 9mm snobs does not negate the fact that we have a taste for the firepower that 10mm provides above and beyond 9mm!

I'm with Kaya on the direction for innovating a new tactical gun. DS 1911s are for people who have a lot of disposable income and can afford to buy guns they don't have to carry. An innovative tactical gun which incorporates everything Canik has learned from the race gun and defense markets could be a really justifiable purchase for an awful lot of people in the US, including me.

I like the Mete and Rival lines a lot, but I think the thinned slide is a bad idea for an optic ready combat gun. There needs to be the width to accommodate a full size RMR without hanging over the sides like a fat lady in a cafeteria chair, and still fit a proper rear sight, meaning you need suppressor height sights. If running an optic, it needs to be this way. Mini optics are a no go on anything besides a concealed carry pistol. I’m sorry, but look at the PDP slide. It’s got the width and you can rack the slide anywhere with plenty of traction. The only other thing would be to get the bore axis lower. Oh…..almost forgot! Shooting even 9mm is expensive, bring out 22LR versions that are same exact size and fit same holsters. I want to economize at times by supplementing 9mm with 22.

Back 6 years ago when I had cancer I had severe bone pain and needed injections My insurance company would not cover the $9,000 I had four guns with night vision on them I had to sell them to get the money for the injections please I need these guns thank you God bless

Canik should do a slim but same size as Ruger Security 380 12 rd magazine 15 rd magazine 17rd magazine Ruger hit the female Market with a sleeper nuke I think canik could obliterate that don't forget the easy to rack slide and add a red dot with holosun eps footprint thank me later canik I would just want 2 of those

Ill say this. The convo about calibers was pretty out of touch. The idea that they should keep innovating on 9mm is short sighted. Their line is pretty bloated right now. They want to bring their micro 9mm competitor thats fine. Good idea. The 10mm should happen. Canik is well known for their triggers. Know what hunters wabt in their hunting weapons? Good triggers. And depending where you hunt, 1911 and hammer guns can have critical fouling that can cost you the hunt. Having a striker pistol with a damn good trigger in a calibwr that can be as mild or as nasty as you want it based on round selection is a no brainer as far as im concerned.

1:01:55 I'd hesitate to suggest Canik enter the 1911 double-stack segment. Canik would likely need to produce 1911DS/2011 pistols with MIM parts which puts you in the same boat as the Springfield Prodigy, which is fantastic for what it is but gets knocks by the purists for having MIM parts. You wouldn't need to match the Prodigy but best it, and as rapid as Canik can turn around prototypes for polymer framed pistols, it will likely take 2 years to get the tolerances of a 1911/2011 consistently correct and better than Springfield. And I'm only saying the Prodigy set a benchmark in that price segment, nothing more. Above $1500 and you're stepping into a territory with some fierce competitors and innovators like Bul Armory, Stealth Arms, OA, and Staccato where you'll need to beat them at their game out the gate. Ask yourselves, could you produce a 1911DS that was good enough for Taran to put his name on it? Tall order for a 1911DS. My $0.02 FWIW

Just my opinion Adam, but Canik will reach a market saturation point very quickly if you all are stuck on the idea that you can keep spoon feeding consumers a slightly altered or tweaked version of another 9mm.

I’ll say what gun manufacturers won’t say. As great as tti is they could do that gun as cheap as their cheapest gun. Of course they have what ever markup Taran needs but understand Canik fans $700 & under awesome guns are in the past. Future Canik guns will be 900 plus. Everyone. They will throw in a cool box & gadgets to keep the complaints down of cost but hey we will pay it because they’re all high.

I'd be happy even with the blue/green/dark bomber options on other lines.. mc9.. The mete will definitely be changing to accommodate RMR optics. Possibly, a multi optic system similar to the Echelon. Canik will likely keep a close eye on the market and pull ideas that are popular, then encorperate those concepts into their line. The idea of the built-in compensator will probably soon become something several companies do. (Shadow System recently did, Caniks TTI, etc..) Maybe CZ type of slide/ frame lock up.. All we know for sure is 'WE THE PEOPLE' win when companies like Canik push and compete with one another! I have the Rival-S Chrome (easily my favorite hand gun) & the MC9, and eventually I hope to acquire this awesome TTI.
