Whatever you say about "the slap", it was a cowardly move by Will Smith vs Chris Rock who is 1/2 his size I guarantee he would have stayed in his seat if that same joke had been said by someone like Charlie Murphy
@ronrouettejr92122 ай бұрын
I think ( allegedly) will smith was on some good snow and he just lost his cool or something cause the relationship that he and his’ wife’ had at the time was an open relationship right? Not that he wouldn’t protect her anyway but it wasn’t like she was being physically attacked

I watch from another handle. Thank you for bringing this up. Idk, but you brought up the biggest point. Rock is like family to Sandler. All i can say is that Smith has wayyy to much power in the entire situation. Sandler, sadly fears Smith & the public. And that's beyond sad.I would have respected him had he have said something like..... I am not inserting myself into the situation.Everyone involved has moved on. And it had nothing to do with me. What I can say is: as a fellow stand-up comedian and I consider Chris as my brother. We practically grew up together. Rock is the man when it comes to comedy & he was a true man with how he handled it. Im proud of him. God forbid if that were ever me, Idk what I would've done myself. I did fear for my friend & other comics after that but thankfully we've all moved on. And I'm tapping out (of the discussion). When you are a king of comedy you should be able to find ways to say something w/o getting into the mix. His audience expects a "grown up" in the room, but he chose to cop out.

Smith initially laughed at the "joke," then got "the look" from his wife. Smith is a joke. Fake overreacting.

“Chris Rock stood tall”? That’s a unique perspective. One of the rules I live by, is how will my children remember me. Yeah, you could say Chris “rose above it…he was the better man..turned the other cheek”… At the end of Chris’s life, one thought will remain in back of his children’s minds…”I watched my Daddy get the sparks smashed out his face. And he did nothing”.
@lordvitae2 ай бұрын
To turn the other cheek shows strength to control your anger because we are supposed to love and respect each other👀❤🇺🇸
@SoleSavr2 ай бұрын
@@lordvitae respectfully, I disagree. I’ve always looked at “turn the other cheek” as a most things in the Bible..it’s meant to be a metaphor..a guide for decision making in one’s life. Unless you are the type who takes everything in the Bible LITERALLY, which few reasonable people do, you aren’t supposed to be a willing participant, while another man emasculates you. In front of your family. If we didn’t know about Chris’s early life, it would be different. But we do know. He told us how he was constantly bullied as a child. Nothing has changed. Still a man who won’t stand up for himself. A coward. An incredibly talented coward.
