Chewbacca didn't owe Jar Jar Binks a life debt. He only owed Solo and his family one because when he was captured Imperial Lieutenant Solo (a TIE fighter pilot!) helped him and they both escaped the Empire afterwards to eventually become smugglers. His time as a slave was very short. Jar Jar had a life debt to Qui-Gon Jinn. Since Jinn had no family it was nullified after his death. C-3PO & R2-D2 werent CGI. Yoda was an animatronic handpuppet in the first cinematic release of The Phantom Menace.
