With the proper acting training, you can animate literally anything. Check out "Hugo & Ines". They make puppets using their hands, a shirt, and their own knee. Of course, I don't want to discourage you from puppet making, I love the stuff, but you can probably experiment with a lot of things you maybe haven't ever considered while you learn the craft.

Question (in a nice way)....... why would you want to use permanent marker in the mouth? I've seen it bleed when wet. What if it somehow gets moist/wet?

This is SO COOL! I want to thank you for not using bird feathers in this puppet. As a vegan, seeing bird feathers is depressing. I think by avoiding feathers in puppets, it's considerate of people that are sensitive to the suffering of our feathered friends. Puppets do not need to be associated with violence of any kind. Anyways- thanks and you're awesome!
