@@salaltschul3604 Yup. In “human years” (or *humanoid* lol, whatever), that’s about 5 years - so he’s just a tiny little kid still. And Yoda - who’s like 900 years old, or at least was during the Prequels at least - would then basically be about 90 years old, again in humanoid years. So reeeeally old. Basically just divide their age by 10, and there you go. If all of that made any sense lol

Adam should hide a picture or tribute in the floating carrier of Grant when he makes it.

And, of course thanks to Legacy Effects and Sideshow Collectibles for producing the asset to live in our homes.
@BSGNUT4 жыл бұрын
Also, what I love about the very first thing you point out, Adam, is the material of the skin and how it has a translucency to it. That was the one main concern I had if that was going to translate from Legacy's prototype to the final product. I have been mentioning to all my friends who also have this pre-ordered, hoping they use the right material to achieve that "sub-surface scattering" effect in the final product. And, I'm happy that they did! I'm happy that the piece is not just a solid piece of ABS or PVC (or even polystone). But, in fact, the material seems to be a nice composite. While it is not exactly the same as we see in the prototype, it is really darn close. The prototype's skin material seems to have a bit more of the "wet" amphibious look/feel. But, I know I will still be very happy with this piece. Thank you for sharing with us.

The release date is set by marketing. I absolutely guarantee Adam (and likely numerous others) have had this in hand for weeks already. This video you're watching here is fully shot and produced, not something they would do if it arrived on their doorsteps yesterday or today. The video itself has probably also been ready for days or weeks, but they have an embargo, just like movie reviews. To complain about them having it before you is the equivalent of complaining that someone like Ebert and Siskel got to see movies weeks in advance. That's just the way it works.

Regarding his ears, on the show the inside of his ears just look green when he’s in normal indoor or dim lighting. You can only see the pink in them when he’s lit from behind. It’s a very convincing effect. If I had to guess, the ears and possibly the whole head are moulded in pink silicone then painted green over that.
@YallMFsNeedJesus4 жыл бұрын
For the actual puppet, you’re half right. The ears have pink sandwiched inside the green outer layer. Veins and capillaries are painted on the inside of the ear and then are buried in paint tinted the skin green. Then painted topically so you only see the warm undertones when back lit🙌
