I was testing aluminum with grout remover , which was plain diluted hydrochloric acid , to see if it was soluble . It etched a thin black film on it like gun bluing does on steel . With a fume eliminating device , outdoor situation , or plenty of ventilation , this could have saved you time . I liked your method of milling out parts in multiples . 👍👱♀️👍 Tapping threads internally must have been tedious 😬 I used to work in a tool & die shop 30 years ago , that also ran out piece part jobs on the side . That is where I came in as a machinist that eventually specialized in saw work . Watching your shop videos brought back memories 😁 Edit : On your video about revamping your Mitsutoyo collection , which I also enjoyed , "Little Toys" used to be the name they went by with English language nations , before they univeralized their Japanese pronunciation . If you find any of those , you would really be a proud collector .
