To the keyboard heroes who wrote "you can't cover Cash", well...there is no point in copying a song without putting something new in it, and he did a truly great job. And i really liked his voice

I think people are just baffled by the apparent lack of effort, and the emptiness of the sound. There are 80 year old men with steel string acoustics who can put more impact and atmosphere into the song on their own than this entire band and their after effects team could manage.

It's not terrible because it's not Johnny Cash, it's terrible because it's incompetent on multiple different levels while presented with such polish that it sounds like it's a deliberate insult rather than a low quality authentic project. They've taken a song which can be done well on a single guitar, and somehow managed to play it with two guitars, a bass, a drumkit, and keyboard, and still have it sound weak, empty and stilted.
