Really great that you decided to still go there, it’s awful what’s happened to Sri Lanka, and these news stories have a terrible impact on tourism. Sri Lanka needs tourists to start coming back, and vlogs like these help to promote tourism & show that it’s still a safe place for tourists to go!

Yes it is SAFE & still gave facilities to tourists Also it THE CHEAPEST SPECIALLY WITH RUPEE DEPRECIATION for eg. 4 star room rate is US$ 122. KFC full meal in SL prohibitively cheap for $ 3 with same international quality. Also within a short time one can travel 400 km from beaches to ancient runins to jungles to tea estates in Hills etc Every Democrat country has protests even USA UK. But SL ones are mainly peaceful unless police attack them.

Sri Lanka is very similar to my home state (Odisha, India), which is why i keep visiting Sri Lanka every now and then. Yes the situation is a bit bad now but you will find every Sri Lankan smiling at you. They don't have much to worry, India will be there to help out whenever they need us to. Apart from the government, even the people are deeply connected with Sri Lanka. It's a beautiful country and it will remain so for a long time to come.

The majority who are affected from the inflation here in SL are the ones like that lady who sold you that pair of pants. But tbh Rs.5000 is a rip off. 1000-2500 might be okay. We Don’t want the tourists to fall for scams like that. 😊 if they ask for a higher price, just feel free to bargain.😊 love the video ❤ & really appreciate the positive vibe you convey to the world about Sri Lanka. @@adamandyaz If they don't compromise and seems price reduction is in vain, just tell "Ok thank you, I will look around" and pretend like going away. And then they will agree. But you should still pretend to go away. Then they will agree to reduce price in an unbelievable amount. That is how normal transaction happen here. Many of them try to exploit foreigners at their first chance.
