So helpful. Would never have cracked open my laptop to this extent without this video. I now have working hinges again ... Yay!!! 😄

Laptop manufacturers that interest me the most (common in NW Mexico): Acer, Dell, Lenovo, HP. That's why I follow you... DO NOT change your content, as engineers say "what works, does not change; improvements can be added but the basics DO NOT change". Another way of saying it, in a TV remote control there will always be the Pwr, CH+, CH-, VOL+ & VOL- buttons, the rest are extra applications or improvements that arise with the advancement of technology. You also have a variety of themes, I seem to remember you even fixing a drone and I was delighted to see it because it deviates from the main theme (PC Desk and Laptos). If we add to this your way of being spontaneous, sincere, patient and clear exposing the content and even answering the questions of your subscribers to the extent that your time allows, this inevitably makes me identify with you... What do you want more? Can I ask! I told you before that you are "un tipazo" (and explain its meaning in Spanish) 1.5K subscribers today... well, at the moment you have 161K and I think it's for one main reason: you never forgot to thank them. Thanks a lot for sharing. All the best from Mexico.

one thing about toshiba and HP, is that their consumer laptops love to break. the most secure design is the clip-together HP model. those are like a nokia, falls apart to save itself, but everything clips together. I have seen many of HP laptops fall to the ground (Including my own* and they just clip together like nothing happened. great design. they're a pain to open because of all the snaps, but personally I'd rather deal with a bunch of snaps than have to worry about a cheap laptop breaking easily

I did the same job today. The replacement hinges where really nice and smooth, not stiff at all but one of the display side fixing lugs was free of the plastics and one of the base side lugs also. Having said that when the laptop is re-assembled it clamps the hinge plates - hopefully this will be solid enough to prevent future damage.

my 5cents, loosen nuts on both hinges 1/4 to 1/2. or until it hold screen with ease and no sag or wobble, Toshiba are bad with these, many fixed (before or after broken adjustment can be done) I've seen brand new Toshiba snap or break plastic mounts on first open. works with all laptop hinges.

Thanks for this video... My 20 month old son tried to close the laptop (the wrong way!) Snapped both hinges and so I'm now fixing it with the help of your video. I got stuck at the point of needing to pop the keyboard off....

Thanks... One thing I did find was I had 2 screws missing from the bottom and 2 or 3 others were very loose.

hey man, first off thanks for the video.. what solution did you use to clean the panel?
@Adamant_IT5 жыл бұрын
I use ordinary glass cleaner (windex) and a soft cloth. I also use multi-surface furniture polish (Mr Sheen) on the plastics for a smooth finish after the glass cleaner. Don't use polish on the LCD though.

hey I have an issue with a HP 250 G6 notebook. after dropping it the hinge is a lil messed up, in a way that it can still be opened/closed but when doing so it pushes out the bezel. I can still use the laptop but i need to have the screen a bit tilted down and I am worried about the damage this is doing to the laptop too. Right now I can't afford to go to a repair shop till February, so I was wondering whether you'd seen something like this before and whether there's an easy home fix? I have never done any repairs on any hardware before (closest would be taking off a part of a ps2 for a swap magic mod about 7 years ago lmao)

Hey, Great video, I did all that but now, my screen is black, I tried plugin it with a HDMI cable to see if it was just the screen, but there's no signal on my TV ether? (I have to mention that the reason why I did all this was because the screen didn't work in the first place, when I opened the case, the cable that goes from the motherboard to the screen was unplugged, I still needed to change the hinges though, so I followed your video, and it went well. but now there seem to be a problem with the laptop. it doesn't boot.

sounds like a missed ribbon that needs to be connected.. did u check with an hdmi cable before you took everything apart to make sure that your laptop was still working to begin with?
