So good that no other news organization hired him! So I'd have to agree! And you did say commentator, so i technically cant argue using actual reporters like Riviera and Cooper, who, despite their differences in politics, are both pretty fantastic.
@discernment8963 Жыл бұрын
If not "THE", Bill's certainly 1 of them, no question. Whether or not his personality is your cup of tea, being as absolutely factual as possible is his mantra. Someone commented they'd put Rivera in that class, but I'd disagree. It's not because I disagree GR's theoretical utopian politics either. He's more of an obnoxious sensationalist than any kind of great reporter. O'Reilly (types) go to the earth's end to get the facts, whereas Gerry continuously throws non stop Shit against the wall in an In your Face manner, and occasionally something sticks.

I used to like 'Family Ties' as a teen - mostly because we all wanted to be Mallory - but now I'm middle aged and way more conservative (as you're supposed to become as you get older because you become wiser), and now I just think it's one of the two worst tv shows of the 80's - the other being 'Designing Women'. Honestly, unless it's 'All In The Family' or 'Maude' - Norman Lear knew how to do it right - a tv show takes me out of it when they start pushing politics, and that's what Family Ties and Designing Women would do. FT was a cool show until the Jennifer character became a teenager and got a mouth and now everything was a social cause to die for. I agree though that Skippy was the only good thing on the show, aside from Mallory's dumbness. Beyond that, I wouldn't go out of my way to watch Family Ties today when it comes on. One 80's show I won't miss though is 'Too Close For Comfort'. No politics, just good funny stories and great acting.
