I'm a huge Yes fan of 26 years and although it was great to hear two of my favorite people (Adam and Jon Anderson) have a conversation, that was a hugely frustrating interview with Jon with all of the noise and scattershot rambling. Having said that, I'm looking forward to hearing True with the Band Geeks (despite its utterly abysmal cover art.) For anybody interesting in Yes themselves, they are currently in the midst of recording their third album since 2021, with these last two (The Quest and Mirror To The Sky) being some of their best material in the last 13-25 years. I'm really glad that Jon shot down the tired reunion comments and is focusing on the here and now. That ship has sailed and both parties are creating amazing material on their own. If you want to hear the best latter-day Yes material with Jon, check out The Ladder (1999) and Magnification (2001), and the live album/DVD Songs From Tsongas (2004.) As far as the classics, you can't go wrong with anything from 1971-74 (especially The Yes Album and Fragile) and 90125 from 1983. Close To The Edge is their overall greatest masterpiece, but it's a little inaccessible for the classic rock FM radio types. It takes some time to chew on before you peel back and understand the brilliance.

@@HWG-wm8ld As far as the mainstream goes, that is true. But they were still releasing some great music that checked off the boxes of "progressive", "eclectic", and "melodic." It may not have been as daring as anything released in the early '70s, but it hit a certain sweet spot for the hardcore fans who appreciated some slight variations on the Yes sound.
