I just had my first Covid. I’m middle aged former smoker of about 15-17 years. I do exercise daily and am a healthy weight but I lost my taste, smell, had night sweats and was tired. Other than No fever, no cough, no sore throat. 100% have had worse.

That's just how you feel about it. Boxing, NFL and even pro wrestling has a much worse track record of leaving people with irreparable physical and neurological damage. Boxing allows 10 seconds for a clearly concussed fighter to get back on his feet just so he can take a finishing blow. To make a comeback after being knocked down is pretty rare. MMA refs try to stop the fight the moment a fighter appears defenseless.

Fighters and action sports have a lot of cross over . Grew up jr drag racing also did taekwondo, won the one tournament I did . Than at 16 switched to motocross. Now mountain bikes. Balls sports are lame. This episode is one of the better ones .
