Adam, I found a you tube video the was filmed during LA fire of 1961, just before my existence. I'm amazing that any lessons learned then has been completely forgotten. The similarities are astonishing. So what I predict after 45 yrs building homes. Codes will change or should because management will have to be dragged out kicking. Domestic fire suppression, automatic water and gas shut offs. Flame retardant facades.The wise ones should relocate to different district or hemisphere. I can't tell you how much I relate to most of Adam's stories. I love listening to these PRE-smart phone exertions as a teen. Literally, different people, different place; but VERY similar stories. I grew up in the SAN GABRIEL VALLEY; but the "VALLEY" was San Fernando where Adam grew up. I never never never understood why the San Gabriel Valley took a distant 2nd place to the San Fernando Valley. Literally! Fast Time at Ridgemont High was filmed in the San Fernando Valley; and I honestly think it had a lot to do with Hollywood.
