Adam sits down with the founder of Papa John’s Pizza, John Schnatter. They talk about John about starting his business in the back of his father’s tavern in Indiana and Adam asks about franchising a business and how McDonald’s became the most profitable eating establishment in the world. John then details the various events that got him in trouble with the NFL and eventually ousted from his company. Lastly, Adam asks John about his business plans for the future.

John Schnatter is a great guy. I always loved seeing him on TV as a child. In the 90s and being a child, pizza and video games with friends was a hallmark weekend. So when this guy came on TV talking about how good his pizza was, it made me happy to always see him. I wish him well and thank him for all those great memories. I always recall my mother eating the peppercinni right when she opened the pizza box.

Whether you believe the Bible or not doesn't matter, but think about this: In Genesis, God creates a perfect world with a beautiful garden on the middle, YET Adam and Eve still had to do work to maintain it and keep it and so on. So even in a perfect world, work is a good thing and can be an enjoyable experience.

If someone throws tomatoes at you, make pizza. That is exactly what Papa John is doing - he has something much more precious than anything that Goodell and his henchmen have - honesty and integrity, verified by those who worked with him. And he is in a position to do more good for people. Goodell and the others may have saved their skin with these shenanigans, but I hope that they know that John came out a winner in this fiasco.

He doesn't advertise his generosity, which makes him even more awesome. I have worked for Pizza Hut first, then Papa johns (for a couple of franchises & corporate stores)....I always admired papa johns because they treated you more like family. The day of reckoning is coming dumbo, 40 pizzas in 30 days. Remember that, just think about that. Let that one sink in, just like the grease in that pizza has sunken into his internal organs. Papa John is tired of the lies, tired of the hate. All of the bastards that did him wrong are in for a real rude awakening.

He was advised to modify his accent for the ads to sound less Southern in order to appear less regional and to appeal to a more national audience. This is not uncommon with national ad campaigns, especially given the bias against southern accents.

John Schnatter comes across as honest and genuine. That says a lot about Roger Goodell. Karma is a bitch Roger and in time you will figure it out the hard way. Trying to destroy peoples livelihood based on false allegations is just gross!!

Looks like he is a “Mike Rowe”, type guy. Don’t need College to be successful. As a matter of fact, going to college may only help the professors 😉. Very Good, what language do you speak to people who don’t listen or understand.
