But Adam, I think you’re being unfair to AMD. When showing the charts of both companies on StockOracle, you pointed out how NVIDIA performed well in 2024, but you only showed AMD’s performance up to 2023. Both companies dipped significantly in 2023, yet for NVDA, you included its recovery in 2024, while AMD’s chart stops at 2023. That’s not a fair comparison-it’s not apples to apples. Shouldn’t both companies include data up to 2024, which was a strong year for both? Or am I missing something here?

absolutely this seems to be biased towards NVIDIA few other things that he missed; Xlilinx acquisition which has impact on current p/e. If you compare forward p/e in fact AMD is cheaper with 25 Vs 31! Also the moat has been bised all the things that he is praising NVIDIA for will apply to AMD soon as they are going to have competitive solutions to NVIDIA. Let's face facts; all the big players in AI and Data Centers will eventually start diversification and the ONLY company who may challenge NVIDIA is AMD! BTW - I've make money on both and both are good addition to long term portfolio.

NVDA market cap is 3.2 trillion, AMD market cap is 200 billion. NVDA market cap is 16x AMDs. But is NVDAs revenue 16x AMDs revenue? No it isnt.... If NVDA is not overvalued then AMD is certainly not overvalued..... AMD is extremely undervalued in my opinion...

On one hand, Nvidia’s AI game is strong; on the other, AMD’s innovation keeps it spicy. Can one of these just shout, 'Pick me!' and make my life easier? Amd is still in the right business for the right time. The metrics look horrible from 2022-2024 but last earnings is signaling the growth could be exploding with improved metrics. And lets face it nvda puts out revenue growth for 30-50% coming quarters stock gonna tank vs if amd posts 30-50% it wont. And amd still ha room to surprise vs it will be difficult for nvda to shock anyone with their quarterly results now (set the bar too high already lol).

Bro only using statistics to evaluate AMD. You need to account first principles too. Using a 35%,15% range of FCF growth for AMD is ludicrous. Problem with DCF valuation it doesn't include the fact that AMD are new entrant to the AI market. They are building their own ecosystem (see ROCm vs CUDA) and is a huge relief to customers as an alternative to the hyper pricey upcoming Blackwell. Nvidia stock price is surely to grow to at least 3-5x by 2030 due to demand (especially) from the hyperscalers since the next 2 years decides who wins the AI race. But at the same time hyperscalers scalping for Nvidia chips will cause most of the sub trillion capped companies to be forced to look for more affordable alternatives (i.e MIxxxx chips by AMD). Lisa Su notice this gap and this market will be a major one for them to grab from Nvidia. The question left would be the adoption rate of ROCm ecosystem. As Nvidia CUDA is already the industrial standard (circa 20 years), AMD will have to speed up in building the tools for the developer community to enable faster adoption of the ecosystem. In conclusion, the AI market is currently expected to grow circa 10x by 2030. Nvidia would not be able to service the entire value chain (scaling up takes time) leaving market share for AMD.
@quade12x836 күн бұрын
So you think AMD will 5x-10x by 2030?

@@AdamKhoo5 years ago, when I brought AMD at 29, my fair target value was 200. Which WAS achieved this year. My new target value is 500 by 2030. Yes NVDA is also a great company and a trendsetter for the industry. And If I had more money back then, I would have brought NVDA too(Split adjusted to today it would be $4 at the time, but on that day it was $170 pre split) . But at that time, nobody got excited about NVDA while people were gushing over AMD's progress in the stagnant CPU space resulting due to Intel's laziness. The best thing people saw happen to NVDA was the mass GPU shortage due to crypto in 2017. Again, numbers don't even tell half the story. Products, adoption and trends do.

IMO NVDA is obviously the better company but not a better deal at this point in time. AMD has a lot of potential for market cap expansion and could be a steal deal right now, or at around $100 The market cap of NVDA is like 10-15x of AMD But revenue is only 5x (with twice the growth). So at best NVDA stock is similar in value to AMD, and you haven’t consider AMD growth could accelerate and NVDA could decelerate
@PrateekPremium18097 күн бұрын
NVDA will decelerate? lol ok
@Nellyson50007 күн бұрын
Its in the video, even using an optimistic growth rate. AMD is still over priced, Using DCF. And the decelerating of nvidia is also added as well. If you are optimistic on AMD, thats fine you still want to buy it at a good price. Even with an aggressive growth rate like you’re saying $126 could only be a fair price not even underpriced.
