That backie entry that juked out Castro is one of my all time favorite moments of your drift career! It was magical!!!!
@joesmalley73053 жыл бұрын
u mean the unchaseable run lmao. U shouldnt be doing backies in your lead runs. Castro should of gotten the win on that one. Adam had a decent chase BECAUSE the lead was decent. u cant have a good chase if the lead is inconsistent and not even close to an inner clip. I dont think he done it on purpose but his car is a literal death trap. Of course n one really knows whats happening behind the scenes but this car has never really been ready for comp. always issues with it powersteering being the main one. One of these events that car is going to be involved in a pretty serious crash. It was a pretty close call with odi. Its just a dangerous car to be around. Also the way this car self steers and snaps to angle when touching the handbrake is strange but i aint no mechanic. Honestly it wouldnt surprise me if he changes chassis to a bmw. 36 46 or even an e92 eurofighter. Last thing pat ages ago said this car handles like a piece of shit. So i wonder if they actually changed anything to improve self steer etc.

@@joesmalley7305 If that's the case, then Adam should have won when Odi went slow into the first turn. Because Odi unexpectedly slowed down a ton during transition into the first turn, no?
@hampusnilsson91243 жыл бұрын
@@DarkSwordsman well i Think it is a decel Zone so the chase driver should be aware of that. The problem with adams entry is that he completely missed inner clip 2 because of the massive angle and the correction he had to make. So castro had to back off and later catch Adam and therefore compromising his follow run. But I could be wrong!
@joesmalley73053 жыл бұрын
@@DarkSwordsman lmao no ITS A DECEL ZONE u go any faster than that then you will have little side bite and washing straight into the kitty litter. and hes on throttle before the first inner which is what the judges asked. There was nothing wrong with the initiation and decel. Adam just lunged forward as there was a decently sized gap and therefore had wayy too much weight transfered which resulted in the crash. ANDD even if odi wasnt there adam would of gone straight into the kitty litter so he would of lost due to a 0 in the chase. This track is also just junk for tandems and you can clearly see drivers not knowing how much speed to carry and when to transition. But FD wont drop it because they hate change and has been the same thing since 2004. EU events blow this shit out of the water in quality and entertainment
@hampusnilsson91243 жыл бұрын
@@joesmalley7305 so I actually watched the track layout and it is now called a “momentum zone” so the drivers can maintain their speed or slow down a bit or even accelerate I think? I guess Adam thought they were going slower and that odi wouldn’t slow down more. Easy to get speed blind when racing at fast tracks. Over all a great effort from Adam!

Would definitely look into front-rear weight balance and working with the CofG, looks like the rear is happy to push momentum deep and as you said hard to catch/slow down. James Deane talks about this a lot in his builds getting the balance to his 'known zone' with good angle/snap, but crazy side bite and control (clearly defines his style), specifically when he modified the BMW to move the weight balance closer to his S-chassis specs with the dry sump tank and a few other things moved into the cabin. You have huge lock which is assisting it with that lateral momentum too, the rear seemingly can't balance the power well and just pushes. In the slow corners it then looked like you where fighting mechanical grip with the power bogging a tad and lots of clutch kicks to try overcome it - did you try up the wheel speed in the diff gear change early? Definitely rev'd more and didn't bog? But then lacked a little speed.. Which am guessing your looking for mechanical grip over the balance to fix the issue, but that threshold is passed at the speed in turn 1, and then suffer the high grip for the rest. Whatever you did late in the season last year when you made a significant change to your angle/lock settings and technique (very evident in more more angle than earlier in the season and then found instant success) but still had the ability to drive through it is the key, the new Nitto's look tricky.

This year it was PACKED. It was so much fun, the crowd was for sure behind you Adam. I know we were. Car looked amazing! Saw you talking with folks when we were pulling out through the back of the pits, it was late.. Also Jeremy from FasterProms was there, didn't make it to the Nitto tent in time to meet him face to face. Sorry for such a long "comment". AWESOME job this weekend Adam! Now to watch. >.>

I just watched the fd livestream and I have to admit, the "fans" are so toxic to Adam and his fanbase. It's sad that they're supportive for everyone else but Adam.
@jackarmstrong72853 жыл бұрын
And Adam’s fans are only supportive to him to the point of dissing every other driver lmao. It’s what happens with popularity and polarization
@Jxrd993 жыл бұрын
What do you expect. Go read the chat when its anyone elses run. Even when Adam smashed into the side of Odi there were adam fanboys trying to say it's Odis fault for not going fast enough. And even when Adams run until the end, all adamlz fanboys seem to spam is "has adam gone yet" "did adam win" etc rather than actually watching the stream/rewinding lmao. I support Adam but I stay out of chat
@jackarmstrong72853 жыл бұрын
@@Jxrd99 yeah agreed. The “Haters” dint actually hate Adam I don’t think. They hate his fans blaming everyone but Adam lol. Honestly would be best if they put on like a 5 minute slow down or maybe put the chat on members only (that would generate them good revenue as well)
@MiataGuyAlex3 жыл бұрын
@@Jxrd99 that's where I try and separate myself from the "fanboys" I have followed fd since before adams pro2 debut and I like other drivers just as much as Adam. I knew Adam messed up in the odie incident

Bro Adam is in a weird spot. Lots of outside money from doing well. A limited amount of experience relatively compared to the competition. One massive fan base. I get the hate it's justified but I think when he gets a big sponsor and builds a crazy car like Chelsea or Ryan he will finally be beating top 3.

He felt so confident, and was DRIVING the car and not letting the car drive him. I could tell right away when they made the change. They’re gonna have to get him TONS of seat time tho.
@bc00li833 жыл бұрын
Absolutely agree, man needs more seat time in the S15. This season is going to be a learning experience but he is picking it up FAST.
@jayuk6723 жыл бұрын
i agree after the change he looked more comfortable in the car but i feel with more seat time before the comp he would have done better, for me at times the car looked hard to drive , just hope in the next two weeks he takes the s15 somewhere that's not the compound and learns what that car can and cannot do before he competes again in Orlando, i am not a drifter just a drift fan so i could be wrong
