For installing V-bands, (i've only used them on aircrafts) but it is to tighten the band, the hit it with a hammer around the band and tighten again 3x. For each hit the nut or bolt should be looser because the hammer will hit it in tighter. Yes this is how you tighten v-bands on pneumatics sections of aircrafts. We do use the torque recommended.

Going catless even without tuning for it certainly makes a difference on these things as you saw. I did that on my plebe-spec A4 and it hit boost a lot quicker and the power band was smoothed out as well. Dream daily that RS6, cant wait to see more of it!

If you want to activate the launch control perfectly you actually have to turn off traction, put it in dynamic mode and floor it while holding the breaks and keeping an eye on the boost gauge until it fills up then let go of the breaks
