It will never take this long to post a video again. Sorry about that. You can check out AvalonKing's DIY ceramic coating kit at avl.kg/foureyesas9 I do stand behind this product as I'll be using it on the Viper next (it defs needs it). I recommend the 2 kit option so you can also coat the plastics, windows, and wheels. You can find my socials, store, and get in contact with me through my Tazet profile at tazet.com/foureyes. (I really enjoy meeting you guys) And if anyone knows where I can find a used Vortech supercharger for the stang, please let me know. 🙂

You could put braided flexi hoses on your car it would make a world of difference. Rubber brake flexi hoses distort/expand slightly under pressure, braided brake lines transfer all pressure to brake callipers. I think this should decrease pedal travel under load & increase pressure to brakes & shorten stopping distances. You could have ordered Brembo logo stickers to place onto painted callipers, colour matches car paint nicely. Great editing.

?? How bigger brakes are suppose to stop car quicker? There was something wrong with stock brakes if they cant lock brakes/engage ABS. When they come to play is heat resistance/heat dissipation during track days.
@TweetsTheBirb
@TweetsTheBirb Ай бұрын
@@hagestad can say i know a lot more than when i posted this but as stated in the video the brakes are stock but the wheels, tires, and other stuff on the car that could effect weight and grip arent. the stock breaks simply dont have enough pressure to overcome the weight and added grip of the wheels to allow for them to lock up in the first place, so the larger brakes would have more than enough force to actually overcome these extra mods and help the car stop more effectively. (dang its been a year since i was last here thats wild)
@hagestad
@hagestad Ай бұрын
@@TweetsTheBirb If that's the case those are really some budget brakes that should never have been on this car from the start. Really enjoyed the video. However, there are a few things I would like to add. Larger brakes don’t necessarily improve brake distances. The stock brakes are more than enough to block the wheels (at higher blocking pressures than the performance brakes of course). The ABS takes care of the rest, ensuring the wheel slip is at an optimum for deceleration. As you mentioned in the end, the main benefit is resistance to fading when driving on the race track. It would’ve been interesting to see the difference between stock and modified doing an adaption of the „Auto Motor Sport“ brake distance test, where the vehicle is braked from a certain speed 10 times in direct succession. The last few tests usually show worse performance as the brakes are beginning to be heat soaked. This would’ve been a quantifiable way of testing the new brakes performance when subjected to higher loads. The first thing I thought when you mentioned you will also be installing coil overs, it that it would be interesting to see what the suspension changes alone do to the brake distance. Stiffer springs and lower Center of Gravity will result in far less pitching and therefore a more constant normal force on all tires. This will usually result in a more constant deceleration during the initial pitching phase and will improve the brake distance. I would even go as far as saying that this was the main reason for the improved brake distances with the new setup. Changing the brakes obviously had a positive influence on the performance, but without a dedicated tuning of the ABS for the new tires and brakes, no significant performance increases can be expected. Nevertheless I really enjoyed the production quality. Keep up the good work.

Reading some comments I just realized you are just approaching quarter million subs, I thought you were well over a mil at least. Pretty sure I've watched since the first video and the video quality has always been better than most TV shows. Love the car and all the effort into the build/editing. s197 has always been my favorite mustang and these videos make me want to build one up myself!

Not enough people put these monster 15" rotors and stick with the 14" rotors even with six pots. I'm SO glad you showed the difference.

I absolutely love the more "functional" channels like these. No gimmicks, no fancy intros, titles and thumbnails. Idk who you are but I suspect you're a grown ass man lol

Exceptional video man! Seriously! How the hell are you so talented?! My only small critic is the coilover adjustment. A lot of people don't really understand the point of base height adjustable coilovers. The idea behind them is to fit the coilover without the spring, to the car and adjust the base height sleeve so when under complete compression (bottoming out) , the wheel doesn't come into contact with the body of the car. Once this is set you can then refit the springs and adjust the spring seat to set your ride height. The preload (if you have any) does not affect the rate of the spring. This way you can have maximum compression without clashing and maintain maximum droop, which is arguably more important in a road car that experiences inconsistencies with the road surface (pot holes, sunken shoulders, and speed bumps etc). Also, if you want to go one step further, getting the car corner balanced will make it even more stable under hard braking.

Every time I watch one of your videos I’m so consistently blown away by not only your professionalism but also the depth of your mechanical understanding. It’s always so refreshing to see a KZbinr car guy that truly knows what he’s doing rather than the monotony of all the low effort hype bro clones with cirrostratus neuron density. Thank you for having an immense amount of fun and sharing it with us 😂

Unreal video quality, I wish I had a smidge of the patience you have not only to work on the car and record each step, but to also make amazing videos about it.

Having been a service tech, I can appreciate two things very much. The first is dedication to disassemble calipers for powder coat. The second is not getting brake fluid on that damn epoxy floor!
