First Drift Collision + Best Tandem Yet!

Odds were in our favor and we were able to make it out to Lock City Drift at Thompson Speedway. I got some good runs in and accidentally came in a little too hot... whoops!

I did not anticipate giving money towards fixing the car I hit to cause such a big deal in the comments. To elaborate a bit more... He seemed pretty bummed and I felt really bad. This wasn't just any drift missile 240, his car was exceptionally clean and I can imagine how bummed I would've been had I been the one hit. It wasn't any crazy amount, just enough to cover if he wanted a PDR guy to come out and pull the panel out. Yes, crashing should be expected on any track, but this was 100% my fault for driving too aggressively. A lot of drivers develop preconceived notions of me based on what they see on the internet and the last thing I want people to think is that I just carelessly hit peoples cars and laugh about it. I'll be traveling to a lot of other tracks on this trip and I want to be able to tandem with people - there is a lot of trust that goes into that especially with someone you don't know. I would have loved to lend a hand fixing the damage, but unfortunately body work is not a skill of mine. Hope you understand where I'm coming from!

Adam LZ happened to me once clipped an r34 and left minimal damage towards the lower right splitter and end up bending the lads muffler :( I gave the geez £300 to replace or fix the damage affected towards the muffler and he rejected my money and said we all make mistakes.

If he can afford to modify his car to that level, afford to take it to the track, and afford to take something that prized TO a track with a steady conscious, then he can afford a small PDR tap. He shouldn't of accepted your money. It's very generous of you to offer him, but he shouldn't of accepted it considering all the above. Don't want people taking advantage of you considering who you are and it's a risk from here on out in a sense because if it happens again some bad apple could use this video as ammo against you when they aren't happy about the outcome of damages/compensation.

This was one awesome video Adam! It kept me interested till the very end, I never lost my concentration while watching. I loved the footage of the team (more than tandem?) drifts! How do you compile the audio from your clips? do you use the outside camera and the inside cameras mics to split the audio? ive noticed when your drifting we can sometimes hear in the car and outside the car. The leaning out issue could be that your gas is being forced to one side of your fuel tank during drift and starving your engine so maybe you should consider having baffles installed in your tank or replacing the tank with a baffled tank

You could try putting in a surge tank to help with the fuel issues. My s13 does that same thing under half a tank and a surge tank fixed it

When your tank is half low it will slosh around in the tank pulling it to one side of the tank which can cause a lean out.
