Honestly the only reason I didn’t want the palette was because Jeffree was part of it, and I hate Jeffree (even before everything came out I didn’t like him) but Shane made everything so compelling and engaging, it pulls you in, hypnotizes you, but when you pull back, you realize this whole series, was just a long ad for their palette. Shane saying “Oh it’s not gonna sell out 😓” he and Jeffree were betting on that thing selling out, because Shane is such a good storyteller, that he crafted an almost perfect redemption arc for Jeffree.

I can’t get over the dramatics while watching the “Bye Sister” video 😭 “my heart is racing” “the camera’s shaking” normal people did not have physical reactions to that video. However someone who orchestrated it & used it as a power play to take out their biggest competitor during their first ever make up launch definitely would… 🤷🏼‍♀️ it was entertaining for the rest of us, but I definitely wouldn’t say my heart was racing or my hands were shaking… did I laugh? Sure! Was my mouth agape in surprise? Absolutely! But anxiety-like physical reactions? Nah. In retrospect it’s so obvious how guilty they are. At the time, I just chalked it up to Shane being dramatic like always.

I work with many vendors daily, and sadly - being nice does usually not work , and putting up all the listed product IS the minimum. Don’t feel bad about buying this palette or feeding into the hype when this came out! the series showed the behind the scenes of actually creating a palette and also included Jeffree who was well trusted w makeup back then, of course everyone wanted to buy it even if you didn’t do makeup!! Shane himself was someone not into makeup at all before so, that may have just been another selling point. TLDR; the series was cool in context, dont feel bad about buying into hype, also makeup is fun to use regardless of who makes it
