Ingleborough Fell Race - Summer of Fell Running #03

Ingleborough Fell Race or Ingleton Gala Fell Race, or Ingleborough Mountain Race (it goes by many names) starts and finishes at the annual Ingleton Gala and climbs one of the Yorkshire Three Peaks Ingleborough. The course is approximately 6.8 Miles / 11km with around 1,968 ft / 600 m of ascent.
After having completed Wasdale (go watch that if you havent) I was extremely sore and had not run at all the previous week. This was also Race 1 or a two race weekend, the next being Holme Moss, a killer 26 km / 1,285 m which I was looking to try and beat my time from my previous attempt in 2016.

I agree with Wild Ginger that it is an extra effort to film and run and commentary too , and I would add that you need to have a special talent as well , especially on the brutal downhill . I am well now Adam , I am recovering well , just the ribs , I can not sleep at night .

Any idea if this has always been the same race length. Ran it in 2010, I believe it was called Ingleton Mountain Race. Would've been July. Awesome footage, thanks for putting this up! Oh, and you better believe I biffed it on the steep grassy downhill at the end.

Im not entirely sure because thats the first time I've done it. I did notice however that its true the race's name is quite fluid. On different platforms it was listed as Ingleborough, Ingleton Gala, and quite possibly Ingleton Mountain Race too. Absolutey loved it though,

Fantastic footage Adam , you did a spectacular descent especially on the steep drop after the trig , I had a nasty fall on the stony steps near the summit , I was bleeding and at that moment I did not know if I had broken my wrist . It all right now .
