The suspense was killing me, lol. Watching now. I’m probably going to just do the back deck on my boat build and skip the front for now so this is the one I’m watching more closely. I may need one more battery since I bought an outboard.

Adam, Did you consider doing a seat mount where you could add an extension and raise it for casting? That way two people could fish - one in front and another in back. Only thing that bothered me about that idea was my weight being elevate just on the one side of the boat.

Ahh, just figured it out. You young guys probably stand when fishing. That would suck for my back and feet to do that for hours at a time.

Yeah we stand, don’t get me wrong tho, having a seat is very nice specially after hours of fishing but yeah I will most likely be standing when casting and sitting when using live bait

But again, honestly, I never considered it or even thought about it, I had no clue what I was doing, had no plans and if I was to build another I would most likely build in the mount for a seat, but it’s to late now, I would have to do a complete rebuild to add one in, but yeah my next build will be better planned out for sure and I’ll know everything I want on it

Adam Ryan for having just an idea and no concrete plans you came up with a great build. And you have developed some really good skills that allow you to pull it off. I forge knives and hatchets and sometimes i create them organically letting them find their own shape. It’s just more fun that way. So yeah, I kinda get it.

Adam, so after you cut that slot out of your deck for your gas lines/motor mount, what did you think of it? With it being nearly a year since you uploaded this, have you found the opening to be too thin, just right, or excessively wide? I am working on my back deck now and am curious what a good size opening would be. Thanks
