Thank you for this detailed info. It’s hard to find, though not sure why. I’m trying to install a new MS lock into an old aluminum door with the previous 10-32 machine screws being sheared off and rusted into the back web of the stile. What’s left of the screws is barely protruding from the face of the back web. It’s all recessed work, hard to get at with most tools.

I had the same problem. What solution did you come up with? Did a Mountain Bridge work?

I have a couple of bridges, but I’m not familiar or experienced enough with them to attempt to use them yet. I was thinking of using a router the flatten the stump of what’s left of those sheared off machine screws, then punch & drill it out. I’m curious what the standard solution(s) for this problem is, if any
