The Difference Between Graphene Ceramic Coating and Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating
"Which ceramic coating do I need?" This is a question that we hear quite often, and hopefully you will have a much better understanding between our Graphene Ceramic Coating Advanced and Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating Advanced after watching this video and reading this article. As ceramic coatings become more and more popular, naturally more and more people are interested in having one applied to their car, or taking the do-it-yourself route and applying a coating to their car on their own. With either option, you then have to decide which type of ceramic coating you are going to choose. You can take the more durable option, which will require more preparation, more time, more patience, and more expertise, or you can take the easy route with near effortless application that you will need to reapply more frequently. Great video. I like how Adam mentioned the durability rating is based on being in lab vs real world. Lot companies don't mention that part. Great products.

If you coat your car with the regular graphene ceramic advanced coating first, can i use the graphene advanced spray coating every few washes to keep the coating lasting longer? Would the spray coating "layer" on top of the base coating applied to help the longevity?

Yes. The pray coating can be used as maintenance for the concentrated version. The latter actually adds several microns of thickness to the paint. While the spray only adds .1 micron thickness. Since the paint is only 100 microns thick to the primer, that extra couple added on make a big difference in protecting the paint for light weight wear. The spray is more of a looks thing

I have the advanced coating on my car and love it. The only downside is that the beading is so good it leaves more water spots than before it was coated. Is there any way to combat it?

Regarding the overall science of ceramic protective coatings: I like how if you feel lazy, the hybrid ceramic allows you to merely wash the vehicle, spritz some (for me, McGuire's hybrid ceramic, 20 bucks) on, and wipe the water off, and your car is waxed. Done! your vehicle is protected for perhaps five to ten times it gets wet. However, to be thorough, you apply, wipe with a cloth to spread, then another cloth to wipe it clean and you get a more durable, shiny, result. In other words, the hybrid ceramic allows versatility. Having said as much, and, enjoying the research more than the work, Adams does seem to be the best, most durable, meaning either choice these dudes offer seems best. Lastly, ceramic PROTECTS plastic, glass, any surface, so you do not create problems as you apply it. Say you put too much on.. Do you mind if it protects? (I do not care). You wash the vehicle a couple times, the cloudiness vanishes. You still protected your vehicle. I care a lot about paying A LOT for a vehicle and protecting its finish. That is all. Carry on.

I’ve used the turtle wax black ceramic polish and their black spray wax and all of the reviews and their marketing said it was easy on and easy off and let me tell you 10hrs later I still have streaks trying to wipe down my 2011 Lexus LS 460L. I’m now very gun shy when I hear easy on easy off but I’ve also been told turtle wax is the absolute WORSE when it comes to removing the product so I may give this a go.

Pretty bummed, I did the full graphene ceramic coat job on our black GLK 350. Cured inside for 24 hours. Parked outside over the following night, it rained - yeah it beaded up great! And it's a pretty boxy car, so the beads didn't roll off. Then... it dried. So I had a thousand little dirt spots and looked worse than the untreated car. Yeah it wiped off easily the next day but... eh can't always win 😥

Yeah that's kind of how it is. My Truck beads up great but it has a lot of big flat surfaces and the beads just sit there.

I seen something where DIY detail first advertised their coating with no year rating because they didn't really believe in the year ratings. The coating didn't sell well till they but rating on it. In short, you got to bullshit the consumer😂.

I use and love both of these. 8ve coated more than 20 vehicles using them so I can tell you they work very well. Please though offer a complete kit which includes the ceramic coating, iron remover, panel prep,Adams shampoo and detail spray for maintenance.... then it would be the best coating kit available as it would have everything one needs from start to finish

I think they should have a kit that includes the advanced coating, spray coating, surface prep, satin wipes, plush wipes, hand buffing pad with compound, and extra gloves

Did my truck with the Concentrated version first after doing wash, decon, clay bar, color correction, then the coating. Its outside all the time in the sun and elements. I use the spray to touch it up and keep it nice. Love the products and all the videos.

Thanks, guys, for the greatly detailed discussion. I have a lot of the spray left over from when I coated my Tesla Model Y going on about a year ago so, I'm wondering about two things: the shelf life after the spray is opened and whether it can be applied directly over a surface the has had Bead Maker on it. I am going to get a new paint job and install carbon fiber body panels (unpainted). Would you use graphene as a base before a PPF or after a PPF? Or Would you Recomended ceramic coating as a base or after a PPF? I read graphene last longer than ceramic, but heard the opposite from some detailers...my guess is because of the thickness for the ceramic products? any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I am an avid off roader. I live in the desert also, Henderson NV. I just took ownership of the brand new 2024, Colorado ZR2 in Glacier Blue. It was a trade on my 2018 ZR2. I F'ed up that truck with in 2 hours of driving off the lot with what y'all call Arizona pen strips. I hade the clear coat buffed out twice at 2 to $300 a pop (you can only do that a couple times before you need a new clear coat $$$). I am TERIFIED to mess this one up the same way. Do you have that much faith in this product? I will order today.

What is the best way to remove the ceramic spray in preparation for the 9 yr? Do I really have to polish with a DA and compound or can I just chemically remove it? I Clayed and did a finish polish 2 months ago but used the spray and now I want to do the full ceramic coat to help with water spots.

I have the regular graphene spray and the advanced graphene spray but have yet to get the concentrated liquid graphene coating. I want to try it. I do have a question about something Adam said. He said that neither product will leave white residue on plastics etc but I know that isn’t true in all cases since it leaves white residue on the spray nozzle the bottle comes with. So much so that it will not even spray without messing with it the second time I used it. Even though after using the first time I wiped the nozzle off clean. Any advice on how to keep the spray bottle nozzles from clogging?

9 years psshh, mine failed in 1.5 years, that's with a deep prep too and decontamination attempts, coating isn't clogged, it has fully failed

Good points for both. I did the coating this weekend on my car. I’d like to know if either product can layer on top or do I need to do your surface prep to have better adhesion? Also, which has a higher ceramic solid or Graphene base between Graphene booster that comes with the kit? OR the ceramic Graphene detail spray?

Very happy with the spray. i figured the spray would be more forgiving to mistakes and I only drive 2 days a week so hopefully will last a while. It was my first DIY coating, did the iron decon, clay bar, and surface prep too. It wasn't as hard to do as I thought it would be; in fact it was kind of fun. Car stayed super clean after driving through rain/mud.

I use the graphing ceramic spray on my F150 and it’s been on it now for two years and it’s held up. I love it. I’ve never used the small concentrated bottle, but the spray I think is the best ceramic spray with graphing coding on the market and I use it and always mention it on my videos, great job Adams

I want to ask you a serious question, I work with chemicals and Know that some chemicals in a spray form will get into your body thru the skin, youre wearing gloves when using a ceramic coat but the spray can get to you still. Have you done research on the effects of SIO2 in your body?

The coating and spray coating are good, but man - yes the solvents are insanely toxic and dangerous. First time I used the spray coating I had a headache for 2 days. I use a respirator and gloves and actually more do dribble the product from the sprayer onto an application pad or spray directly into the pad. I dig Adam’s I just wish they used proper PPE, the products really aren’t that safe
