well done dmitry...apprec the effort in showing the durability in close to a real life scenario. Graphene is here to stay and is already changing the landscape of detailing. have u tried IGL F4 RENEW??? it has blown away gloss readings that u have shown....using similiar if not the same meter it busted 103gu when applied on an almost perfect paint on a blue c7 corvette by brian(apex detail)....and close to a hundred on a test panel he showed in later vid. i have applied it to my lexus and the gloss, slickness, clarity and metallic pop is impressive. in the past ihave had my cars done at chicago auto pros by jason....05 jag vdp and 07 vdp....05 with opticoat pro....07 with gtechniq crystal serum. multiple daily drivers too now i just tinker since i am retired and has become a hobby ....i topped the IGL with artdeshine graphene qd at 5/1 dilution. slickkkkkkk and hydrophobic. after wash a a few days ago i used IGL ECOSHINE ENHANCER... took gloss up another notch. if u want links to vids let me know. if u are looking for gloss that makes u giggle....try F4 and top with premier....thats my next step when reapplying for chicagos harsh winters in fall
@DmitrysGarage4 жыл бұрын
John, thanks for watching. I think graphene is definitely a good new addition to detailing products. Ill check out IGL F4. The GU readings depend on the substrate not just the wax. For example my test substrate is 90GU at 20 degrees without wax. My test hood is about 94-95GU bare. Also the angle it is measured at matters. Typically you use 20 degrees for high gloss surfaces, but I see a lot of people using higher degree settings reserved for matte and semigloss. This causes exaggerated elevated readings. I will definitely add it to my list and see where it lands.
@johnketuroskey62934 жыл бұрын
@@DmitrysGarage ITS ALL ABOUT THE PREP.....when u order the IGL the 300gm bottle is enuf to get 4 applications.....the 1000gm will do 12 applications easily - fyi i applied it on my lexus es350 to give u an idea of coverage

Thanks for the kind comment, I try to make these easy to follow :). I have not used a ton of Chemical Guys stuff, but like any big company (Adam’s, Griots, Turtle, etc..) they’re going to get slammed on less than stellar products as they try to hit every vertical vs boutique brands that focus on a small range of products. Also the highly advertised big detailing companies tend to be marketing first companies and dont always make all their own stuff.

Hey Jon, missed this comment. You could layer it, I'm sure it would improve the performance to some extent. Thanks Philip! I'm using a few different towels but the ones in this video are these: amzn.to/32zEqZS I also really love these Eagle Edgeless as well: amzn.to/3grqbOV Definitely recommend pre-washing towels.

Great job mate, please advise the best ceramic coat ?

For a spray I really like the Adam's Graphene personally. I've had good luck with CQuartz UK 3.0 as well. I'm just starting to expand my testing into coatings, so expect to see more in the future!
