One of the producers played the song for Republic founder and CEO Monte Lipman, and that’s when he said he wanted to sign Angelina. I love this song, because it is not from those cookie cutter templates typical in the music industry. Music is magical when it comes from the heart. “He said I’m watching you from the moon I’m everywhere, see everything you do” This is a slight variation of what my older brother used to say to me many times as I was growing up. Since his passing in January this year I have been lost but since hearing these lyrics I know he is still looking out for me. Angelina you have no idea (or maybe you do) how much this means to me. I have been listening to music of all genres for the best part of 60 years and can truly say with all my heart there has never been a piece of music that has touched me as much as this one I’m actually weeping as I compose this. It’s just a beautiful song and a very moving performance. Angelina always lives the lyrics of whatever she’s singing, but you can tell on this one that it’s special. It’s her personal expression of loss, but relatable to everyone. Angelina lets her voice ride the crests and dips like a wave, but what makes her singing so different and special is that you can’t predict whether that wave will smooth out or keep growing. Thank you, Adam, for yet another spectacular Angelina reaction. Wasn't that just stunning? When “Million Miles” came out on November 6th, I, like I’m sure many people , listened to it over and over, and was in awe of the power in the music, lyrics and artwork. The more I listened and watched, the more I wanted to find a way to make others aware of this masterpiece. I live in a large U. S. midwestern city that has four major hospital groups, 150 funeral homes and 25 hospice organizations. I drafted a cover letter and an information sheet about Angelina, the complete lyrics and how “Million Miles” can be viewed on KZbin and the various ways to purchase it. I mailed the letters to all of them and asked that they copy the information sheet to give to families grieving the loss of loved ones so they can listen to the song and hopefully find some comfort and peace from it. I encourage everyone to find creative ways to get “Million Miles” into the hands, ears and hearts of as many people as possible.

I think the one thing that we’re all forgetting is that this is a child singing a child making these words come to life she’s 14 she has the wisdom and the mind of a 90-year-old it’s like she’s been through 100 lifetimes and allows you to feel her pain of everything she’s seen and done she’s 14 we all seem to be losing sight of that fact she’s so insightful. As a 71-year-old grandmother and a mother it pains me I have a 14-year-old granddaughter who was born the same time she was and it hurts me that a 14-year-old should feel such pain so early on a pain that really most people can’t even describe my granddaughter I hope you never have to feel that pain of loss of being alone fighting for herself with no back up I hope that she will always remember that there’s always someone there for her and I hope Angelina knows that she’s not alone that she truly is never alone she has an enormous family base

Both have extremely supportive international families who have taken care to hold their children back from stardom through their tender years so they could have somewhat normal childhoods, while still supporting their child’s passion for their music. Angelina was born in Norway, January 2006 Alma was born in England, February 2005 Alma Deutscher (pronounced Doy-churr) is an extraordinary pianist, Violinist and composer of beautiful classical music. She has been lent a Stradivarius if that tells you anything! She hears music in her mind all the time and says people are a little bit confused when they believe classical should reflect the ugliness of the world. If the world is so ugly, why add to it is her sentiment. Her music is glorious, fun, and truly beautiful as Angelina‘s voice and singing and songs are truly beautiful. You mentioned your reaction to Shield coming up--there's a line in Shield that Angelina wrote that reminds me of a line in Million Miles. In Shield she says, "Forgive me for all that I am," and in Million Miles she says, "I'll never regret what I do." It seems to me that in both of these lines Angelina is reflecting on her life as an artist, and that she is keenly aware of the commitment and the sacrifice that life entails, for both herself and for her family. You mentioned also how you never know where she's going to take a note, and one of the aspects of Angelina's creativity that I've come to understand and appreciate over the many thousands of times now that I've listened to her is that she crafts every single note, and she has what seems like an almost innate artistic sensibility that shines through in every performance. Adam, to reinforce the depth of Angelina's maturity and poetic lyric ability in "Million Miles," this is another set quotes from her book at age10 "Mellom to hjerter" "Between Two Hearts") where she first encountered the shoe-less orphan girl. "We look into each other’s eyes; she peers at me. I have to manage this, I have to do something - she must not freeze. She has beautiful blue eyes. Her eyes are the color of sky and sea. She doesn’t want to talk to anyone. But even though she might not want to talk to me, I really want to try." "It’s as if there’s a mirror in front of me. I see myself in the mirror. The girl’s tears are flowing. It’s as if the world is frozen into ice; everything is dark and quiet, just like a cold, gray winter. Everything has lost its color, that’s how the girl looks.” How does one explain the depth of Angelina's abilities, humanity, and humility? I don't think it's possible.

I had read that while Angelina was recording this beautiful song, she had tears flowing. Outstanding reaction Adam! One commenter suggested that this song will become an "anthem" for this pandemic. And I agree. While the song is definitely cathartic for Angelina "when I was in the booth, while I was singing, my tears were running... it was like a feeling of relief that all my feelings were written down...”, also many people who have suffered unbearable loss will find the song and her performance a solace to their pain and anguish. I've listened to it more than 50 times now, and I find myself singing the words in my head---so beautiful and so touching. This is the fourth song that Angelina has written and performed, and I can see the progression in her poetic depth and acuity. And her voice is simply Magnificent! I have to remind myself that she is only 14 years old. She recently communicated with members of her patreon, and I can tell everyone that she is well and happy, and truly enjoying the entire process of producing all the songs on her new album. I have to agree with both of you. The first time I heard the song I was just worried that it would not live up to our high standards, and I was relieved. The second time, I started to bring the lyrics in tune with the melody, after the 5th time I started to become addicted - without really understanding why.... maybe the end with the very high notes wants you to have more, and the sudden end contributes to that.

This song is an universal message, it is this characteristic which touches us all. I think that this song worthy of being compared to The Little Prince of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The presentation of Saint-Exupéry's work on Wikipedia says: The story follows a young prince who visits various planets in space, including Earth, and addresses themes of loneliness, friendship, love, and loss. Despite its style as a children's book, The Little Prince makes observations about life and human nature. This song "Million Miles fly to the Moon of the little Princess" also meets this definition (sorry for the simple modification of the title and a reference to a classic of Angelina). Upon encountering the narrator, the little prince asks him to draw a sheep. After three failed attempts at drawing a sheep, the frustrated narrator simply draws a box, claiming that the sheep the prince wants is inside the box. Again, to the narrator's surprise, the prince exclaims that this was exactly the drawing he wanted. The poetic narration, lyrics, images and subtle music, this voice with a deep soul, draw not a sheep, but a heart which is a jewel box containing a bubble of humanity. for all of you and specialy for Angelina, not alone you are. She's amazing at conveying emotion. This song very much connects me to when my mother died. I was holding her hand as she went, so the "now he's not here to hold my hand" lyric really grabs me.

Beautiful song and really good reaction. I think Angelina & Republic Records thought it woul be better to release this song first because many more people would be touched at this period of time while Covid-19 is still devastating so many loved ones. My guess is that probably the album will be taking longer to release. There's also the possibility that the vaccine is on its way (hopefully), and that might give a blow to this number as it would be quickly forgotten if released with the full album.

Turns out Grammy Award winning Stargate, the Norweigen production team, was already working with her and shared her work with someone at Republic. I think we'll get an album for Christmas. In this year of so much death and loss of "normal" this song is a balm. Crying releases what needs to be released, and then she gives us courage as well! I hope this song really does get the world wide attention she aspires to and we need.

I believe Angelina experiences a similar feeling to what she wrote in her book "Mellom to hjerter" ("Between Two Hearts"), about the shoeless girl who she gave her shoes to, when she thinks about her grandpa, and hence the ladder to the heavens in the lyric video: "It was like there were stairs from the earth to the heavens. And I climb the stairs...."I stand between the heavens and the earth I stand between two hearts.” The video and Angelina and Grandma Mery’s artwork are a stroke of pure genius. Unlike many lyric videos it really expresses Angelina’s feelings, and enhances the viewer’s experience with this emotionally beautiful song. Angelina posted on her Instagram story (Nov. 12, 2020) a video of her in a professional recording studio. To me, if this is a recent video which I believe it is, means she's able to finish her album in L.A. This would be great news to all Angelina fans.

A great reaction and a great first deliverable from the AJ/Republic (what will likely be) juggernaut! I am pleased that this original song from Angelina has both her distinctive vocal elements and sufficient "pop"-ish appeal that it will serve both Angelina's current fanbase as well as the new audience that Republic's efforts will begin to deliver. Second, it (as few others can do) shows she can pack an emotional wallop across deep and poignant lyrics and serves (as you alluded) as a sort of an anthem of loss for many during this crazy pandemic-affected year and beyond. A serious song by a serious artist. Third, it contains not a hint of any provocative presentation of Angelina to the world as many beginning artists are "encouraged" to do. Nothing but an appropriate still of her is in either official video. Well done by all. Thank you Angelina!

I love this song more and more every time I hear it, I lost my father when I was 13 and at first I did not feel sad it was almost like it was not real and then a couple days later it hit me like a ton of bricks, and recently my mom passed and this song brought those feelings back to the surface and to me that is what separates her from the rest of artists young or old is her ability to draw every intended emotion and message a song was meant to relay.
