I have had my Explorer Pro 170 for a little over a year now. We put 200 miles on it last week on the Great Sacandaga Lake in New York. We averaged about 6.4 MPG with all types of riding. The longest single run we have done is 81 miles. A typical day might be a 30-40 mile run on a local river, drop anchor, inflate some large lounging tubes or our inflatable island, swim, eat and have a great time. I have a little over 1400 miles on it now. Not much by your standards but much more than friends I know with PWC’s. The storage is amazing! We load this ski up. I think it handles great and the 25-50 MPH acceleration is impressive. We ride it pretty hard at times and it has been flawless so far. My girlfriend and I are 67 years old, but revert back to 27 year olds when out on our Explorer. We have a 100 plus mile ocean trip planned if the weather cooperates. I personally would never consider the supercharged model.

I had the choice to go with the 230 when I purchased and after some research took the punt on getting a runout deal on a new 170. Your video confirms all of my suspicions. Love the 170 and it does what I need from the ski and more. I hate fuel anxiety the 170.

I just got my 230 explorer pro and I am so stoked. I took the windshield off and added a GTX gray fairing which matches perfectly. I went back and forth but ultimately settled on the 230 because I like to go fastish and it runs 87. Been on supercharged skis my whole life so I felt like going down to the 170 would have been too slow. Sending you an email right now on the lights and front rack system

Well done with this one. Thorough, informative, easy to understand. I will say it leaves a little to be desired in comparing it to other models, like a GTI or GTX, but this is presumably for the people who've already settled on an Explorer, so it's a me issue 😆 Love hearing that you'll be selling the lighting kit, I've wanted to do the same with my GTR for a while. Not the same upper deck/hood design, but I think I can probably MacGyver it onto mine. Can't wait to pick one up! Lastly, interested to see what your thoughts are on Sea-Doo's product launch this year. Seems to be fishing-related, so input from a former FishPro owner is always nice to have. Cheers!

@@AdamSwords I have 2 5 gal and a 4 gal. TBH, i dont ride it very hard and in rough water, i just use eco mode anyway as its a perfect speed. I can hit nearly 90-95 miles without camp gear on a single tank; so the range really isn't that bad with the 230. I would just rather not have the extra "worry" about having the supercharger maintenance. Would love to hit up some Havasu camp runs with you one day though! A video on my previous question. :) I appreciate it. What is with the issue with it pulling to the left? I have to have the handlebars at a 15 degree angle just to keep straight. I just took it out on two different lakes the experience of smooth water vs rough water is night and day. I feel like rough water uses way more energy. I love the glass lakes. Hey Adam. I am about to buy an explorer pro and have been considering the 170 vs 230 options. Could you give an estimate of range for your 230 on a full tank of fuel. In the video you mentioned it used 1/3 more than the 170. Were you in Eco or Sport mode? Thanks

Imo, if you're going fishing with your ski then the explorer isn't for you. There are 3 models for fishing, that's their niche. Explorer Pro is just for that, exploring. It's a long range ski, it's not meant for water sports or fishing. If you're looking for performance and versatility, I'd likely recommend the GTX or RXP style skis.
@AdamSwordsАй бұрын
Couldn’t disagree more. Proof of that is the new Fish Pro Apex SeaDoo JUST announced. It’s an explorer with a live well and swivel seat 😂
@speedball10169Ай бұрын
@@AdamSwords Right, and it's probably going to be a flop. Much like the Explorer 170 being perfect for what it's purpose is, the Fish Pro Trophy does that for it's niche. The Trophy 170 had a swivel seat last year on it, nothing new. There are literally different categories from sea doo with several models that solve what people are looking for, at different price points too!

Every Rolex tells a story, and I’m ready to write the next chapter. My journey has been one of relentless pursuit, overcoming challenges, and reaching new heights, and a Rolex on my wrist would be a testament to those milestones. It’s not just about owning a luxury watch, it’s about wearing a legacy, one that I’m committed to upholding with pride and purpose.
