It would be beneficial to rig your anchor to trip should it ever get snagged. Attach the chain to the head of the anchor and tie wrap the chain to the shank. If the anchor snags you can pull to break the tie wrap and the anchor will come up backwards.

Great video. I have a solution for the extra anchor line that I learned from a youtuber in Oregon. He uses an extension cord reel to store his anchor line. It's genius. I use them now for my shallow water anchor line and crab pot lines.

A nice solution to an annoying problem, well done there. I do have a tweak for you though, and it's this - double-utilize the anchor line as the recovery line. Once the knot to set the length is tied, just clip the free end back to the ski instead of using a whole extra rope for the purpose. You might lose some length in certain scenarios, but it makes everything a bit more simple and less tangled. Plus, you can jam the bundle of spare anchor line right up in the front of the footwell instead of it getting all wet. Hope this helps!

Yup that’s a great idea. As you said wouldn’t work for anchoring at the full 50ft but that’s not exactly gonna be common.

And of course you could always get a 60- or even 100-foot line, and trim it down as needed

Great video! Adam you have the anchor rigged backwards. The shackle goes on the other hole towards the plow and you zip tie the chain to the other hole on the end where you have the Shackle currently. This allows for you to set the anchor every time and when it’s time to pull up the zip ties break and the anchor quite literally will come straight up

Good point. Than there’s a product called an anchor trip link, that is metal won’t fall off but will release the chain and make it much easier for the anchor to hook and retrieve.

@@AdamSwords use strong zipties.We have the rig max suggested on all our boats.It never breaks on its own but on the common event of your anchor getting stuck a hard tug could break the ziptie and set it free.It is going to save you alot of money of losing anchors,chain and ropes.Make sure it is a strong ziptie and it would only break when you want it to

Hey Adam, great content! When anchoring you want to make sure that you have your chain completely on the sand and plenty of extra rope out there so your line isn’t straight up to the ski. Otherwise in a swell the boat will lift the anchor up. Those anchors work by being dragged into the sand. Cheers!

Adam another thing you can do. With your yellow line add a big clip to the other end where you attach your anchor. With that you can pull up to a kelp bed Grab a few healthy strands and clip on to the kelp bed. No need for an anchor Have two for extra protection. 👊🏽👍🏽

I think there’s as much chance of that as Adam making Pope, Producer Michael ( otherwise hear-by known as PM) only goes on the water in gin palaces firmly moored to the dock.. He once bought a huge motoryacht with some money left over from a sale of a UK business, he got a cpl of miles offshore and ordered the captain to return immediately and promptly sold it at a large loss lol

Just a tip to not scratch the front of your skii : u can buy a tiedown extension to fasten to your trailer hook--prevents the front bow eye area from being scratched from a galvanized hook. 27 years of skii riding s florida

You can get the same enjoyment out of an older second hand SeaDoo. Just make sure to find one with a solid service history. That mask is ANCIENT! Literally I’ve had that one for almost 18 years and it’s still going strong. I forget the brand but when you have a beard / moustache you just want to make sure to pick a mask with a really soft skirt (the rubber bit). That way it’ll seal the best. That mask doesn’t leak one tiny bit, it’s amazing.

Speaking of the gloves, in some cases you can acquire a lightweight short motorcycle glove that has detail on the fingers to allow for haptic feedback when using a 'phone. It could be fun to do a video chatting about some of the latest motorcycle gear particularly if there is two wheeled riding content on the way. I'm in the UK however looking online it seems that Cycle Gear may be a good local retail store near you. It could also be interesting to do a video at Troy Lee Designs which is close by. Nope that and the swivel seat is the ONLY reason you’d buy a fish pro over this model. My experience is 95% of fishermen don’t even use either.

You have only one choice as you have no defence nor air to dive for the bottom, You suddenly rear up and show him your yellow watch strap. He in turn thinks oh lovely custard and chomps that arm off, whilst he’s digesting that you leap out the water onto your sea Doo ( given your pre ious attempt when you fell BACK in again a tad amount of dramatic licence was used there) apply a tourniquet and race for the nearest hospital and blood clinic for a refill!! Lesson learnt I hope?
